I really like the track Silent Homecoming from Ringo’s Beaucoup of Blues album:
The lyrics are quite sad, but whilst listening to it yesterday on Spotify, it occurred to me that the song could perhaps serve as a prequel to the events of Teddy Boy which features the lyrics:
She told him tales about his soldier dad
But it made her sad, then she’d cry, oh my
Had the Beatles stayed together in some alternate universe and included these two songs on their next release, it could’ve been the start of a really interesting concept album.

Offline We had Rain in 1966. Then, in 2001, we had Driving Rain . By 2005, Paul declared there’s Too Much Rain . I guess he got tired of Fixing A Hole where the rain gets in. And there’s the problem that his sheepdog kept standing in the rain and tracked water and mud into the house. Add to that, he kept getting tan in the English rain. And, finally to top it off, the banker never would wear a mac in the pouring rain even when Paul offered him a raincoat that he wore in the song Two of Us.
He doesn’t mention how much of that precipitation was silver rain falling down upon the dirty ground of London Town .

Offline ^ I think John meant that anyone could get a tan standing in the English rain. John started the Rain falling in ’66. That’s my explanation anyway.

Offline I heard a Paul song about a week or so ago that had lyrics that matched ‘My Love’
And when the cupboard’s bare
I’ll still find something there with my love
It’s understood
It’s everywhere with my love
‘Nobody Knows’ has similar
I may go hungry, maybe next week
Well if I do then I’ll still find something to eat
but it was a different track, possibly 70’s, and for the life of me, I cannot remember which it was.

Let’s do a triple using Tomorrow. Paul pleaded “don’t you let me down tomorrow” while John just pleaded “Don’t let me down”.
On Joe’s page for Hey Jude , John thinks Paul wrote Hey Jude (ie Hey John) about him. In that song we have Paul using the phrase “don’t let me down”. Maybe John was writing/singing back to Paul when he did the song Don’t Let Me Down .
I think the theory works on some level.
