Just listened to it. Sounds great. Very clear and the ending floats in and out of the left and right channel. I don't believe any of the other versions does that at the end of the song.

“Perhaps the greatest accomplishment of the Anthology DVD remixing team was their creation of the first complete true stereo mix of “I Am The Walrus “. This allows the song to breathe by spreading out the previously clustered rhythm track (electric piano left, drums and tambourine centred, guitar right), spliting the orchestra to far left and right, and recreating the King Lear excerpts from a disc of the original broadcast, complete with faux radio static! The Love remix also spreads out the orchestra (and includes George Martin’s count-in for their overdub) and adds bits of King Lear and other radio noises”

Offline Uh… it’s Eyes of Blue, a poster who mostly posted in 2010. There is some unintentional glitch which causes him to be rendered guest. And, he was a consistent poster when this was smaller, and when Skye actually posted, do he knew you three (now) mods.

Offline If you would like, I also made a mix/version of Strawberry Fields Forever . It’s Take 1 with the LOVE intro and 1st verse; so basically, the LOVE version without going into the final take. I made it because I love those harmonies in take 1, but they weren’t on Anthology.

In honesty my expertise isn’t really in different pressings/mixes either – there are so many minor details here and there. But if I’ve been able to find out something I’ve probably already put it on the site (or it’s on my to-do list).
I’m based in the UK so I don’t really have many Capitol releases. Apart from the Capitol box sets I have the original MMT album, though IIRC it doesn’t have the extra bar.
Does anybody think it has been fixed since the 2012 stereo LP re-issues????
