Hi all,
Given the Let it Be remastered album and the Peter Jackson Get Back documentary late last year, I thought it would be fun to discuss whether you have heard any new versions of unreleased songs, or just new songs/outtakes, from the Get Back sessions and if you have any favorites. I know the Beatles played a ton of songs during this time.
Here are my thoughts. I like the “Can you dig it” jamming from one of the additional Let it be CD’s. I also like these songs that recently appeared on Youtube (recommend you check them out).
Her Majesty (long version)
Everybody got song (John Lennon tunes apparently combined into one song)
Watching rainbows & madman (medley with added bass)
What are your contributions?

Sure To Fall In Love With You from the Decca Audition is a mighty fine version, typical case of the record label just not hearing what was there.

It’s nice but it’s really not special. That audition could be loads of other bands from that time.

I’m pretty sure @sir walter raleigh is referring to the version from the January 1969, @Little Piggy Dragonguy, and only mentions the Decca audition version to identify the song he was talking about, rather than the version. After all, why would he be mentioning a Decca recording other than as a pointer to the January 1969 version in a thread about the best January 1969 recordings?

Truth is, for many of us, there wasn’t much in the way of new music to be found in the Get Back docuseries, as approaching 100 hours of audio has been circulating on various bootlegs for decades, with A/B Road being the most complete (that I know of, anyway).

Thanks Ron I can see how that was unclear. On the subject of the actual decca audition, I don’t agree with LPD I think that’s also a great version.
