Obnoxiousness is in the ear of the be-hearer. If I'm trying to get to sleep at 3am, and my neighbours have their speakers up against my walls booming away, then that's DAMN obnoxious of them! Doesn't matter whether it's the Beatles, Beethoven or all the angels of heaven.
Actually if they were playing the Beatles I'd start singing. I wish my neighbors had my same musical tastes.

The start of Hard Days Night, without a doubt. That startled me the first time I had it on full volume in my headphones. The start of I Feel Fine is brilliant turned up loud too

There’s no Beatles song I find obnoxious but if you’re looking for a loud and intense experience with a Beatles song, this one is tremendous. I can’t get enough of those kick drums.

sir walter raleigh, SgtPeppersBulldog, Von BonteeNot once does the diversity seem forced -- the genius of the record is how the vaudevillian "When I'm 64" seems like a logical extension of "Within You Without You" and how it provides a gateway to the chiming guitars of "Lovely Rita. - Stephen T. What’s wrong with it?
Anyway, I don’t find any Beatles songs loud or obnoxious compared to other musical obnoxiosnisms that I’ve heard.

People who are fake fans would say Revolution 9 . Real fans know that it’s the best Beatles song.

I can think of plenty of Beatles songs that are loud but as far as ones that are both loud and obnoxious the closest one I can think of is A Hard Day’s Night because all of the other Beatles songs that I don’t particularly like, such as Good Night and The Inner Light , are rather quiet.
If you're reading this, you are looking for something to do.

It’s a sound collage.
I recently made a playlist on my iPod of all my favourite Beatles tracks so that I could just listen to them all back to back instead of changing album all the time, and Revolution 9 is on there. I think it’s a piece of genius, but I totally get why it’s not everyone’s cup of tea (apparently,Lennon was the only one who wanted it on the album). Seriously,it blew my mind the first time I heard it. I had a similar experience with Tomorrow Never Knows . I heard that for the first time, and I was like, this track is f*****g amazing!
Just a question for the people who were around at the time: was Revolution 9 the first song of its type,or were there other bands around who did a similar thing? It sounds way ahead of its time.
Seriously, Lennon was a genius

I think you’re missing the point of the thread. None of us think The Beatles as a whole are loud and obnoxious, some of us just think that certain songs are like A Hard Day’s Night or George’s simple repetitive two note lead guitar part in Dizzy Miss Lizzy that repeats throughout the entire song or Revolution 9 .
If you're reading this, you are looking for something to do.

Revolution 9 , as you said, is a musical collage. A piece of music concrète. A style created around 1940 so it’s not the first piece of music of it’s type.
About other bands doing similar stuff i’m not sure but maybe Zappa or The Red Krayola were doing something similar one or two years before Revolution 9 came out.
