I’ve always liked the songs that really tell a story, like Norwegian Wood , Eleanor Rigby , Drive My Car , etc. And wanted to talk about these narratives, and particularly twist endings in Beatles songs, like the burning of the house in Norwegian Wood and the girl’s admission at the end of Drive My Car that she doesn’t have a car yet. Are there any other Beatles songs that have twist endings? And which narratives do you like best?

If I spoke prose you'd all find out, I don't know what I talk about.

I like the Revolution stories where there is talk of a Revolution then you can hear it in action

I like the implied ending to the narrative in the LOVE mix of Being For The Benefit Of Mr. Kite! where something goes wrong and the whole show goes to hell at the end.

@IveJustSeenAFaceo I have LOVE, but it’s on vinyl and Ive only listened to it all the way through once, so I’ll need to listen to that to understand what you mean. I really should listen to LOVE soon, but ill look up Mr. Kite now as I (obviously) ‘Love’ that song.

I also like the day in the life middle part where a guy speaks and the singer goes into a dream. I always imagine the guy who spoke is a Jigglypuff

That’s not really part of the narrative though… Unless you’re saying that part of the story, the dream leads to the instrumental part, which I guess is loosely on topic.
