With so many threads on mash-ups and remixes throughout the forum the mods have brought them all together as part of the ongoing clean-up of the forum however due to the sheer volume of threads it’s not been deemed feasible to compile notes on which threads originally belonged together in which topics. It is also important to note that due to a number of date and time-stamp clashes not all of the threads have been collected together; a list of those can be found in this search result.

Since Ringostarr39 and VonBontee (including me) are our ''local'' remixers (mashups, extensions and enchanted versions), I'd like to make a topic on what they're doing.

For now I'm trying to extend the song ''Within You Without You /Tomorrow Never Knows '' (buhu, hard),

any ideas????????

I'm made some rudimentary remixes before (Come Together and Dig A Pony worked together well), but I'll take a gander at more of an ideas approach.

I've made quite a few remixes/mash-ups like Back In The USSR and Birthday ; I don't really get around to sharing them. Not long after I started, I tried extending Within You Without You /Tomorrow Never Knows . It turned out decent-ish.

note: posts 20 -> 34, originally in a thread titled ‘The Most Incredible Beatle Mash Up I have Ever Heard’, were moved and merged here on the 28th October 2014 by meanmistermustard

We’ve mentioned some here and there, but I thought it’d be nice to have them all on one thread. Here are three that I’ve heard around. They are in order from best to worst IMO (or the most bearable to the least anyway.) Enjoy!

A Day In The Life / Wish You Were Here
The Beatles / Pink Floyd

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v…..27Mngdsc

Glass Onion & Savoy Truffle / Encore
The Beatles / Jay Z
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v…..RF0_IRqso0

Come Together / Tik Tok
The Beatles / Ke$ha

I think it's great you're going through a phase,

and I'm awfully glad it'll all be over in a couple

of days

This is a little annoying, but I’m going to put it here ’cause the title is awesome…Walrus of Choice

I’m surprised nobody’s yet mentioned “Don’t Let it Be Anger.” I can’t post YouTube videos from the iPod, (well, maybe I can– I don’t know how) so you’ll have to look it up yourself.
I thought the “A Day In The Life ” one was OK, though I was miffed they left out Paul’s section. The Ke$ha (does anyone else read that as “ke-dollar sign-ha?) one was actually quite catchy, but it wasn’t my favorite either. (I kept looking at the time thingy.) What was the name of the “Get Back ” one? Titles don’t show up on the iPod.

If I seem to act unkind, it's only me, it's not my mind that is confusing things.

I love them both! Especially the Get Back one. (Btw MMM, it doesn’t have a title, it just says The Beatles vs LCD Soundsystem vs The Kinks.)

This is the one that MMM wanted to post.

Let It Be / Don’t Look Back In Anger
The Beatles / Oasis

And here’s one I found on the way.

In My Life / Kids
The Beatles / MGMT
feature=related

EDIT: Just wanted to clarify that I dislike all of the ones I have posted, aha. Just thought I'd share. a-hard-days-night-george-10

Do people not realise that mashups of songs with different tempos and beats and general feelings will not work, even if you change the tempo artificially?

The one that comes closest to working is Don't Let It Be Anger, but Paul's vocal doesn't work after Noel's. The person who did that should have just played the Don't Look Back In Anger vocals over Let It Be 's backing track, though the chorus doesn't work perfectly.

I told her I didn’t

I thought the come together mash-up was one of the better ones simply because at least it tried something different with the song, not just a cut and paste job. Also enjoyed Beatles v LSD Soundsystem v Kinks.

Thanks to all for pasting them.

a-hard-days-night-ringo-8 That was quite well done.

I’m not really a fan of mash-ups, but I’ve got this one. I’m not sure if I like it or not. I have no idea how to insert a video here so… a link will be fine, I guess.

It’s Rigby Stew, A mix of Green Day’s Brain Stew and Eleanor Rigby by the Beatles, of course.
