Lennon’s Tracks
Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds
Being For The Benefit of Mr. Kite
A Day In The Life

McCartney Tracks
Sgt Pepper ‘s Lonely Hearts Club Band
Getting Better
Fixing A Hole
When I’m Sixty-Four
Lovely Rita

Other
She’s Leaving Home
Sgt Pepper ‘s Lonely Hearts Club Band (Reprise)
Ringo: With A Little Help From My Friends
George: Within You Without You

Overall, McCartney does have a greater contribution to the album in terms of volume of work.  He designed the concept himself.  Lennon didn’t have as much because he was injured during the recording of the album I believe.

But when it comes to quality, I’m not sure I could call Paul the best on this album.  The intro was great, Getting Better was good.  When I’m Sixty-Four , Fixing A Hole and Lovely Rita , weren’t quite memorable for people.  George and Ringo only had 1 track each, but they were better than most of Paul’s contributions.

Lennon’s output was less, as well, but he had Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds , as well as the monumental track A Day In The Life .  I’m going to have to give this one to John.

I thought it was during the recording of Abbey Road that he and Yoko were in a car crash. As I recall, they didn’t lose their hair, but John had a bed set up in the studio so Yoko could recuperate there. Correct me if I’m wrong…

When I’m Sixty-Four , Fixing A Hole and Lovely Rita , weren’t quite memorable for people.

Fixing A Hole and Lovely Rita are my two favourite tracks. a-hard-days-night-paul-11a-hard-days-night-paul-11a-hard-days-night-paul-11

A Day In The Life was both not John. Lucy ain’t my favorite.

I would go with Paul.

John has such solid vocals in all the songs he was in.   He is the perfect artist for this psychedelic styled album.

It’s Paul, by a country mile, in conception, content and execution. Not even close in my mind.

When I’m Sixty-Four , Fixing A Hole and Lovely Rita , weren’t quite memorable for people. George and Ringo only had 1 track each, but they were better than most of Paul’s contributions.

I disagree with that. The three songs are marvellous, especially Fixing A Hole , which I could happily play over and over.

Don’t forget also, that Paul wrote the chorus of Lucy, the middle of A Day In The Life , and played the blistering guitar solo that is the best part of (for me) the weakest track on the album: Good Morning, Good Morning.

And, for me, that album is almost defined by its revolutionary and creatively bombastic bass sound.

Don’t be fooled by my moniker, I chose it hastily while registering – I love them all almost equally. But while the others made great contributions, I always see Sgt Pepper as mainly Paul’s gig, and like to give kudos where it’s due.

I was just going to say that She’s Leaving Home is a Paul track. And of course, he co-wrote A Day In The Life , and With A Little Help …

When I’m Sixty-Four is one of my all-time favourite Beatle Paul songs. All in all, most of the Sgt. Pepper songs I like best are Paul’s. So to me, he’s the MVP.

All of John’s contributions were great but so were Paul’s and as Paul had more songs on the album, he wins.

Call me mad but I don’t think there’s a weak track on Pepper (When I’m Sixty-Four is probably my least favourite but still good).

Times I find it hard to say / With useless words getting in my waySuprised about this one.Sad about this one
