Offline Feck-a-ding-dongs. That’s exciting.
100 minutes of outtakes, many previously unheard and unreleased (probably a nod to the bootleg and ‘Anthology’ material out there).
The 1992 documentary restored.
The album remixed.
I wonder what the additional 5 tracks are on the mono Pepper, would presume three are ‘Penny Lane ‘, ‘Strawberry Fields’ and ‘Only A Northern Song ‘ which leaves 2. I guess the “lost” ‘Lucy’ is RM20 with Jeremy on vocals.

Offline I wouldn’t like to suggest anything, but the only contemporary mix of Carnival Of Light was the mono mix done on the day…

Folk have been trying to decipher what’s included on the Steve Hoffman thread; one post has the original US mono promo of ‘Penny Lane ‘ on the mono CD, another that disc 2 (outtakes #1) is 1 of each track, in the correct running order, along with a further ‘ADITL’, three ‘SFF’ and one ‘PL’.
A big hope with any ‘SFF’ is that we finally hear something from takes 9 -> 24 (tho the end of 24 is on ‘Anthology 2 ‘), however, no vocals were recorded so maybe not. I’d imagine take 26 is on here somewhere as we already got the complete take 7 (with 24 spliced on) on ‘A2’.
I cannot remember if any other notably different versions were recorded. I’d like to hear the unedited ‘WYWO’, we already have the uncut ‘SLH’.

Yeah, i was off elsewhere so edited my post after.
Was looking to see if there was anything Apple could use to tie in the announcement but the final recording for the album songs was the 3rd April (‘Within You, Without You’), the final recording for the album was the 21st April (the high-pitch dog whistle); during that time it was mixing, editing, crossfading etc. On the 6th April the first running order of the album was compiled with the differing side 1.

Offline Having seen the video, it appears that Giles Martin has used the mono mix as the template for the new stereo mix since “She’s Leaving Home ” is in the same key as the mono mix and not the stereo mix.

Wasn’t this the same on ‘1+’ where the aim was to create new stereo mixes that replicate the mono mixes?

I did notice that SFF and PL are only mentioned as being part of the 6-disc set. It may be that that’s the only version they’re on.
