Hi all,

I'm new to the forum and this may not be the place for this post, but here goes.

I've had a Rubber Soul doormat for over 20 years and have wondered if anyone else has ever seen one. I googled it and came up with nothing. It's in rough shape, but still pretty cool. Anybody ever see one before?

Thanks for input!

Kyle

Great way to literally stamp on (if not stamp out) The Beatles.

Did anything exist in the height of Beatlemania that wasn't attached to The Beatles? Cereal? Shampoo? Cause it seems like merchandisers were making a killing on the oddest things to tie The Beatles in with.

Wow, that is one strange item!  Who was the intended market for that, I wonder?

Paul: Yeah well… first of all, we’re bringing out a ‘Stamp Out Detroit’ campaign.

I don't know for whom it was intended, other than those with rubber souls! (or rubber soles, rather)

Do you know if it was manufactured that way? Maybe someone was bored and got crafty?

I think it was manufactured that way. It was in front of a record store (on the ground) in Charleston, SC in 1987. I commented on it and the owner of the store gave it to me!

I remember when the Beatles first arrived here in the US in Feb. 1964. It seemed that all types of memorabilia was coming out. I was eleven at the time and I remember the Beatle wigs, boots, lunch pales and cards. I had some but got rid of them when I was young. A lot of us didn't know any better. I could shoot myself now. I could have retired. a-hard-days-night-george-10

That’s a brilliant doormat. Though I’d probably not want to actually use it, which would somewhat defeat the point of having one.

Can buy me love! Please consider supporting the Beatles Bible on Amazon
Or buy my paperback/ebook! Riding So High – The Beatles and Drugs

I don't use it anymore, in case it might be worth something. I was 3 when the Beatles landed, so don't remember their arrival, but certainly their music has been with me virtually my whole life.
