I don’t have any on my iPod. The only couple I’d heavily push folk to aside from ‘I’m The Greatest’ are ‘Step Lightly’ and ‘You And Me (Babe)’. There are probably another 5 or 6 in total that would be included in a comprehensive collection of the best solo Beatles material.

If we’re talking essential Ringo songs, right there behind I’m the Greatest should be Early 1970, his lament on the break-up:

Thanks for that, RN, I’d not heard that before. Ringo’s descriptions of the others are heartwarming, particularly
George, now I would say that wouldn’t I?
Can’t help loving that long-haired cross-legged guit-tar picker who is always in town playing for you with Rings *Harrisonic guitar solo*.
Hearing Ringo say about Paul ‘And when he comes to town I wonder if he’ll play with me…’ t’is truly heartbreaking.

That is, indeed, George on guitar, @Beatlebug. The song was the b-side of It Don’t Come Easy.
‘Tis fascinating how he ticks off the state of play – Paul (wonder), John (know), and George (always).
It is, perhaps, the most affectionate of the break-up songs.

Of course it was! It just so happens I’m a long-haired cross-legged guittar picker meself. I always know when I hear one.

The trouble is Ringo’s new music isn’t exactly flying off the shelves and so stores aren’t willing to give up valuable floor space for older releases. One of the few places would be amazon but they wont be inundated with requests.
Honestly, if he weren’t a Beatle, would anybody have given him the time of day? I love the guy, but his solo career does nothing fo me!
Sorry Ringo lovers, just sayin’
