Offline BTW, it seems they added another show at the Ryman in Nashville that happens the day before I am supposed to be there. So June 18 and 19, Ryman Auditorium, Nashville. Might still be tickets available. Just FYI 🙂

I believe so. AFAIK there are usually changes every few years. I’ve only just recently joined the loop when it comes to these things. I’m still a newbie ^^;

Yeah that’s the band I saw in Melbourne a few years ago, they rock. I think they did Ringo’s last album with him so it’s not surprising that they’re touring it really. Great live band, I loved Todd running around really belting it out, I think I was most astonished by Richard Page’s amazing voice, but they’re all great. You’ll have a ball @Midori78. I was shy and didn’t rush up to the stage like a teenager (a friend did, and kept saying afterwards “he pointed at me!”), but it was great all the same.

Aw man lol. Yeah, in my case it’d be kinda weird if I flew from the left balcony to the stage. I got a decent zoom on my camera though, and hope non-flash photography will be allowed-er, tolerated. Since this possibly-once-in-a-lifetime opportunity just kind of fell in my lap, and a Paul concert is way out of my budget. Sorry Paul

Offline Well yes, avoid flying off the balcony if you can! My gig was a bit different, it was held at the old Melbourne Festival Hall, the first time Ringo had been back there since they toured here in 1964, so it was a bit special. Festival hall is basically a rectangle with the stage alongside one of the longer edges and the seating arranged around the other edges, with separate entrances from the outside, it’s quite odd. Everyone had a good view!

Offline I was at the show last night. Premier night of the tour and only the second show at the new amphitheater in Syracuse
It was fantastic. The best All Starr show I have seen and actually quite a bit better then the previous show I saw with the same band…The songs were much more fleshed out and “jammy” The setlist was similar, but 3 songs not appearing in 2014(the last time I saw them) What Goes On , You’re Sixteen, and Im the Greatestwere included. No surprises, just pleased that the band has gelled enough to “open” up the jams a little and a genuine good time show. These guys really like playing with each other.

I went to the concert last night, and let me just say that it was amazing. They played Boys , Photograph, Yellow Submarine , What Goes On , and a bunch of others by the All Star Band. It was an amazing experience for a first concert (besides getting the car lost in a parking garage, but hey, we can’t always reflect on the negative!)

Offline Seeing as the 19th is getting pretty close, I’m debating what exactly I’m able to bring. I have been to an Owl City concert, as well as one of those free admission things (our city hall had the Doobie Brothers last autumn). This will be in an auditorium, so I’m assuming there will be some sort of bag check. I was just going to bring a small backpack that’s going to have my camera, batteries, phone, glasses, gum and maybe a bottle of water. For those who’ve been to any of Ringo’s shows (notably, at the Ryman in Nashville, as he’s been there before), are there certain things not allowed? Just want to make sure I’m following the rules. I think I know what to expect, but then again, this is RINGO……
