I don’t even want to make a profit out of them. I just want someone to be able to enjoy the show.

Do you guys have any more ideas as to where I could go to try to sell?

With care, try craigslist

Seeing Ringo drum in person makes me wish I had been a fly on the wall during that Helter Skelter session when he got blisters on his fingers.

Any session would be good! Glad you enjoyed the show… You and ExTex will need to detail it for us tomorrow!

If I spoke prose you'd all find out, I don't know what I talk about.

We had a nice game of Beatles Trivial Pursuit. AG and her partner were ahead by one wedge when we quit.

The show was great. More details later, but just wanted to say I could really feel the peace and love. Ringo is very warm and heart-centered and radiates joy.

I got a Ringo Peace and Love ball cap.

Now on to day two of our festivities.

Ha-ha! I’d spank you playing that! Maybe that’s an idea for a game thread? Is there any way to create a virtual board and dice?

@Ron Nasty, I asked Ex Tex if we could have phone-a-friend as part of the game so I could call you.

There’s probably a virtual dice site we could use… And there could be a board. Maybe we could figure that out.

It was very good. I’m not sure how to do one of those clever spoiler thingies…so, if you don’t want to know what songs he is singing, I’ll just say: SPOILER!

I haven’t remembered the set list very well, but I think he sang all of his Beatles songs except Good Night , Octopus’s Garden , and What Goes On . He also did a couple from Ringo 2012–Anthem, and I’m not sure what the other one was. I don’t remember whether he sang one from Y Not or not.

….I think the other one from 2012 was Wings.

I put notes in my phone during the whole concert, including the set list. I’ll tidy it up and post it tomorrow night.

-As Zig mentioned in his wonderful write up about his Paul concert experience,
https://www.beatlesbible.com/f…..5/#p129161
I talked to a VERY HYPER EXCITED ZIG
*Image Enlarger

*well, that’s how we picture him anyway
on the phone in car on the way to the WinStar World Casino.

-Setting the stage
Image Enlarger

-After we found our seats, Ex Tex and I went to look at the items for sale. Ex Tex looks quite spiffy in his Ringo ball cap. I got a Ringo 2014 tour shirt and a concert program.
Image Enlarger

-Ringo!!! I kept thinking about the “Your high height!” thread. I was glad I had a path to see Ringo when everyone was standing up.
Image Enlarger

Matchbox
-It Don’t Come Easy (Ringo shouted out Hare Krishna)
-Wings (from his Ringo 2010 album). Here are my favorite lines from the song:

Need you so much
The melody’s coming in clear, so clear
And with your touch the music keeps going around
And around in my ears

-Todd Rundgren (WHO WAS SUPER HYPED UP-he was fun to watch moving all around on the stage) said that what was going on on the stage was the world’s longest running love fest (with added colorful commentary) a-hard-days-night-ringo-6
-Gregg Rolie (Santana) Evil Ways
-Steve Lukather (Toto) Rosanna which went into a jam session with really good drumming (Gregg Bissonette played like a mad man on some of the songs, quite a show!)
-Richard Page (Mr. Mister) Kyrie, Ringo played the tambourine
Image Enlarger

-Bang the Drum All Day (Rundgren). At end of song Ringo said, “That’s all I want to do all day. Hey, that IS what I do all day!”
Image Enlarger

and here’s Ex Tex’s picture of Richie banging the drums
Image Enlarger

Boys – Ringo mentioned that it was the 1st song he recorded (singing). He played a little bit of keyboard at the beginning of the song before coming forward to the front of stage to finish singing the song.
Don’t Pass Me By
-Ringo said, If you don’t know this song, you’re in the wrong venue” and started in on Yellow Submarine
Image Enlarger

-Black Magic Woman
Honey Don’t
-Anthem from Ringo 2012. What hit me from this song is the rest of the band singing a little high because there are women backing him in the album.

This is an anthem for peace and love
We gotta keep trying, we can’t give up
This is the day, no turning away
This is an anthem

You think you got it covered
You say you know the score
But people are dying, there’s no denying
But do we, do we know what for?

We know, we know, we know
We know, we know, we know it’s true
We know, we know, we know
What we’ve gotta do

It’s not all knives and bullets
It’s from hunger, too
But never say never, let’s get it together
‘Cause we know, we know what to do

No man ever made it on his own
No man ever made it all alone
We’ve gotta help out
And we’ve gotta shout

Richard Page sang a song that mentions John Lennon

What’s the reason why
Da Vinci had to paint
Lennon had to write
About peace

The chorus to that song

We all need inspiration
A spark that ignites
Something deep inside the soul
A masterpiece that defines a life
And you are mine

-Africa (Toto) there were yellow swirly background lights on the stage back drop, very effective
-Oye Coma Va (Santana)
-Love is the Answer (Rundgren) Ringo said he really loves heart this song
-Ringo said, “Are there any ladies in the house? This is for you.” then began singing I Want To Be Your Man. I tore my eyes away from Ringo long enough to see two girls around 10 years old going nuts dancing about 5 rows in front of me. The future is secure. heartapple01
-Broken Wings (Mr. Mister)
-Hold the Line (Toto)
-Photograph
Act Naturally

When Ringo sang

We’ll make the scene about a man that’s sad and lonely
And begging down upon his bended knee

He got down on one knee.

With A Little Help From My Friends (yep, that’s when a few tears fell from my eyes while I was belting it out – apologies to that lady who was sitting in front of me)
Give Peace A Chance

Great review, AG. Thanks for helping me relive his show. I’m kicking myself for not picking up a tour shirt – yours looks very cool. I did not make the same mistake at the Macca show. I wouldn’t mind seeing a photo of the hat ExTex picked up – with or without him underneath it – his call!

One correction to AG’s review.

Ringo said that Don’t Pass Me By was the first song he wrote that was recorded…not the first song he wrote, but the first one that was recorded. Then he played the keyboard intro.

This didn’t happen with the song Boys . Boys was a Shirelles song.

Great review, and thanks for adding my photo. I took a few more, but that was one of the better ones. I actually wish I had taken less photos and just soaked up the love.

My hat is sitting here at the desk…I’ll work on getting a photo of it…And Zig, I was telling AG that I almost asked to speak to you on the phone but didn’t want to be impolite.

Thanks for the correction, Ex Tex. My notes were a bit shaky on that point.

Here’s the cap…but not the man under the cap :-)

I, sadly, did not get a tour shirt from Paul. Too much dollars…
