I'm surprised there hasn't been a thread made for this song yet, nor are there any details about It on the site (apart from a little bit in Joe's article about the RINGO album.)

This is favorite song off the album, plus I really like the extended version's ending from The Very Best Of compilation. Does anyone know why was not featured on RINGO?

Yeah, there aren't many Ringo songs with threads. It's a real shame. This is my favorite track off of Ringo as well.

The extended version is also a bonus track on Goodnight Vienna. I think it was originally a B side to the album version.

There's a lot of things I like about 6:00. I like the way Paul plays the synthesizer, it's like he found a really juicy sound and capitalized on it. I can't describe exactly what it's like but it's sort of chewy like licorice and punchy & spicy.

And I think it's a good vehicle for Ringo's voice, especially when Ringo does sort of high-end almost shouting type singing lines that also have a nice melody to them. For example the part "I don't treat you like I'd like to treat you" -- I just like the way he sings that

The song is one of my favourites on the album. I love Ringo's vocals on it.

I honestly think this is a bit of a lost classic. I'd love to hear Paul singing it, and I wonder if there's a demo version out there somewhere.

It's also really odd that the extended version was a bonus track on the Goodnight Vienna reissue. No idea why that happened.

I like this song too, nice use of synthesizer by Paul, inspired (but deceptively simple) melody.  I suspect at the time they recorded it, they also went into that goofy jam but Paul decided to keep the formal entry on the Ringo album tidy, then Ringo thought what the hell, let's add the outtake on my next album!

It was a bonus track on the 1992 reissue though, not on the original album. The Goodnight Vienna reissue also contained Back Off Boogaloo and Blindman, which were released in 1972, and the album came out in 1974, so it looks like they just picked some random extra songs to sweeten the deal.
