Rather mean article about the gig in Tel Aviv…
Sir Ringo, as we may now call him, was always the dispensable Beatle. When he first joined the group, as he admitted on Saturday night in Tel Aviv, he “wrote a lot of songs” but they were never recorded. (That was the only self-deprecating moment he allowed himself in the show, and even that was probably unwitting.) He certainly couldn’t sing. It is frequently, nastily, but quite possibly accurately asserted that he wasn’t even the group’s best drummer. (Take a bow, Paul.)
What a smug little hatefest.

Now I'm a confused bassist ukulele guitar synthesizer kazoo penguin everyone who is definitely not @Joe. This has been true for 2016 & 2017 but I may have to get more specific in the future.

Here’s a review of the second Tel Aviv gig, by a reviewer who enjoyed it:

Despite playing virtually the same set for years, the band, and Ringo, seemed like they were having a great time, as was the crowd in the auditorium, which was only at a third capacity after selling out the previous night.
Ringo and the band didn’t seem to care. “It’s far from a full house, but all the important people are here tonight,” the 77-year-old icon said near the beginning of the show. And, through 90 minutes of pleasurable entertainment, he went on to make everyone in the room feel that was true.

Holy Cow! I’ve gotten that ad before too. I wonder if others have gotten it. And I wonder if we’ve gotten it because…
RINGO IS WEARING THE DRIPPING PAINT SHIRT ON HIS TOUR!!!!
I saw the shirt in the video Ringo put up on his Facebook page.
Did you notice the shirt on Ringo, @Shamrock Womlbs?
*Thanks for finding that post, @Beatlebug.

That was at the begining. After the break he wore a black shirt.
The concert was great. The played the same exact set of songs as in the link above. Even in the same order.
Ringo was fun as he use to be and in great spirit. And the band well… really tight with a great sound. The only thing i missed was a little more of his druming. His drum was a bit buried in the mix. He just played the beat straight. Not many fills or embellishments but that’s ok with me.
It was great to see him anyway

I like that odd patchwork shirt, I’m sure it looks dreadful on but on the mannequin it looks wacky but interesting.

I saw Ringo in Chicago this September. The two people who were supposed to go with me ended up not being able to, so I invited my grandparents to go with. I practically had to beg my grandma to go (she’s a Dave Clark Five fan, and this supposedly means she’s not allowed to enjoy The Beatles), but they both ended up enjoying his concert more than I did. They said if he comes back they want to go again. I kind of felt the opposite, but it made me happy that they enjoyed it so much.
