Paul was on the Jimmy Fallon show a few weeks ago, and mentioned that two of his favorite Ringo songs (post-Beatles) are “It Don’t Come Easy” and “Back Off Boogaloo”.

OK… what’s everybody’s two favorite Ringo songs around here? (again, post-Beatles)

‘Photograph’ & ‘I’m The Greatest’, but I guess that ‘I’m The Greatest’ is a John Lennon song so not sure if it counts…:-)

Too many to count and pick from me (of course).

Today it is:

Early 1970 – heart on his sleeve

Walk With Me – for the Paul link that started the thread

Oh – and welcome to the forums.

‘Step Lightly’, ‘You and Me Babe’ and ‘Early 1970’ are the obvious ones – Ringo’s vocals are spot on for all three. As trcanberra says the later is Ringo being blatant about his fellow ex-Beatles and his relationships with them at the time, its so sad to hear Ringo sing ” And when he comes to town I wonder if he’ll play with me” in regards to Paul.

‘The No No No Song’ is fun but if i listened to it often i’d probably grow to hate it.

‘Pure Gold’ and ‘You Don’t Know Me At All’ i really like from memory, real life hearing might be another story.

I cant think of anything after 1976 that grabbed me.

Can’t. Just can’t. No matter how hard I try.

I can’t even take one song off Beaucoups of Blues. If I put his Choose Love album on, I can’t turn it off for days at a time. Oh, shoot, I’m gonna stop now. I just can’t narrow them down. I heart Ringo’s music!

I have to get Choose Love next time I am on an ebay binge.

I just thought of this topic yesterday. Amazingly, I found the existing thread!

Photograph is my favorite,  I don’t know how much of it he actually wrote. It Don’t Come Easy is 2nd. 3rd is my favorite as a Beatle, Don’t Pass Me By .

Half of what I say is meaningless...

I feel good in a special way, I'm in love and it's a sunny day

Not a big Ringo fan, but “It Don’t Come Easy” & “Photograph” come to mind.

“No No Song” is kind of fun! a-hard-days-night-ringo-6

Such <3 in this thread for Ringo…I wish I knew his catalogue as well as you guys. I doubt I’d be able to find anything to top “Early 1970” though. Is this the best song about the Beatles by a former Beatle? I’m pretty sure it’s my favourite, anyways.

I think it is the best. There are some of the tribute songs after John died and so on, but I don’t think anything captures the mood quite like that one.

My fave Ringo songs are Oh My My, Call Me, Only You (And You Alone), and Photograph

I played part of Oh My My for my history class as part of a project and my teacher seemed to really enjoy it. That’s probably my very favorite song of Ringo’s.

You don’t often see someone listing that one among their favorites. I like it very much. His falsetto is actually soothing to my ears and I always get a kick out of the recitations at about 1:35 in. A lovely job indeed by our Richy.

^I was listening to that YouTube link of “Wonderful,” and I recognized the song but couldn’t recall what album it was on so I went to my iTunes and put Ringo on shuffle by accident. The song that started playing? “Wonderful.”

Would that be called has to the known as a “Richy” Moment or what?a-hard-days-night-ringo-6ahdn_ringo_09
