What chord does Lennon play twice at 2:55? It's not the usual A7.

I tried to figure it out on my guitar and it sounds like hes just playing the high e string more audibly still with the normal A7 bar chord shape.

There is one chord he hits at 2:55 which is an E-Major-7th chord by accident then corrects it quickly and goes back to the D-Major 7th.
The song is in the key of A-Major 7th with these chords for the entire song: D-Major 7th, E-Major 7th, C-Sharp Minor and F-Sharp Minor.
The further one travels, the less one knows
