Can anyone tell me what tone John is singing at for This Boy and how I can get there? I can hardly hear him, but I want to sing his part. I was going to play Twist And Shout and sing backup, but because of something that happened yesterday, I want to play this song instead. Any help is appreciated!
"I'd tell her I love her, but she'd only reject me in the end and I'd be frustrated. That's why I play guitar; it's my active compensatory factor" -Ringo said something like this once, I changed it up a bit.

Thanks a lot everyone! I have a lot of practicing to do. I got sick last night, don’t know if it was nervousness or food poisoning, so I have a lot of ground to cover in five hours (I only learned the song two days ago).

Hey,
My names Tom and my band Jolanga have been struggling this song for a while now. Especially John’s low nasally part. Anyway we managed to find help online and this is our attempt. We have a gig at the cavern coming up so hopefully its sounding alright. Any pointers will be greatfully appreciated.
Thanks x

What do you mean by ‘tone’?
Do you mean what tones is he singing i.e. what notes?
Or do you mean tone in the sense of the character of the sound of his voice e.g. nasal, shouty, operatic, whispery, head voice et ecetera?
I’d suggest you just LISTEN. One assumes three of you are singing and each will take a part, so just listen, listen, listen! You’re unlikely to find a chart for what he is singing. Sit down at the piano and sort out each part from the chords. Listen, listen, listen to the original.
