Offline Thank you SG My mom has been in the ICU since Saturday, so I haven’t been able to properly acknowledge his birthday until today . Run Of The Mill always surprises me every time we renew our acquaintance. Of all the songs on ATMP this is the one I couldn’t understand until I was much older and now, as the days stand up on end. Love your version and it makes a great B side to your Long Long Long single
. And of course the drawing is perfect for the sleeve!
Even though I didn’t celebrate, I did think of George for a moment yesterday. I was walking our dog in the park and came upon three girls sitting under a tree. One was strumming Wish You Were Here on her guitar while the other 2 were harmonizing. I stopped to listen and when they finished one came over to pet Charlie. I asked if they were singing that song for George’s birthday. She said no, they are practicing for the March For Our Lives protest next month and the song will be dedicated to the kids who were lost. As he sings, it’s you that decides…

Oh, that’s a cool anecdote! As much as I love George and wish he were here, I must admit their cause is probably slightly more meaningful and I’m sure George would agree

Offline Various Revolver -induced drawings
The thing in the upper left corner is my fictitious band of choice, the Space Oddities. They take their name from the David Bowie song, which is their standard set-opener, but, due to the fact that my alter-ego is their guitarist, they also frequently cover Beatles tunes — Hey Bulldog being a particular favourite.

This is great! Paul annoying John made me chuckle, and I also like George and Pattie standing in the corner looking on. That particular part of the pic has a ‘Sgt Pepper ‘ feel about it @Beatlebug

Offline I find it funny how you all seemed to interpret the I’m Only Sleeping drawing as Paul pestering/annoying/bothering John, while in my mind he was more gently serenading John to wake up. (Singing ‘Wakey wakey, Johhhhn, doooOoOOOooo’ is much gentler than ‘Get yer arse outta bed, Lennon, we got songs to write!’)
And Now For Something Completely Different, here is something you never asked for but are getting anyway:
David Bowie as a Blue Meanie 
because he reminds me of the Chief and Max here.
Their exchange is based on a story, which I can’t find now, where Bowie was hanging out with Lennon and, when people approached him to ask ‘Are you John Lennon ?’ he’d say, ‘No, but I wish I had his money.’ David, being a shameless thief re-appropriator of good ideas immediately nicked this for his own use. Some time in NYC later, when someone asked him, ‘Are you David Bowie?’ he said, ‘No, but I wish I had his money.’
‘You bastard, of course you do,’ said the person, who happened to be John Lennon .

Nevertheless, that was utterly fab! Your vocals, especially in the lower register, sounded very, very similar to George’s, I think. You’ve acheived pretty good sound quality from a headphone mic, that’s for sure! Here’s to more multibugging! (new phrase, perhaps?)

Offline Finally catching up on your new releases. The production aspects work really well. I know you’ve put a lot of hard work into it, but it sounds effortless!
I also dig your takes on Pink Floyd; A little bit more of a relaxed feel to your vocals, and the guitar nicely combines the Gilmour template and your own personal playing style.
