Hey everyone! This is my first post here on the Fab Forum, but I’ve been coming to the Beatles Bible for years. I’m so grateful for all the hard work that has been put into this site, I can’t begin to expound upon how much I’ve learned from it. I imagine I’ll end up coming back here to the Forum quite a bit, I’m excited to get to know some of you!

I’m working on a project concerning Paul’s solo work and I could use your input, especially if you’re very familiar with all aspects of his post-Beatles career. I’ve compiled this list of songs, broken up by album. As you can see, there are a few hits included, a lot of deep album tracks and B-sides, and some well-known unreleased songs as well. I’m aware that it looks completely random, but it should all make sense when the project is done. What I need from you is to go through this list and choose your 25 favorite songs! They do not need to be in any particular order.

If you’d like, you can comment with your top 25 in this thread, though I’d be especially happy if you filled out this Google form with your answers. Either way, I appreciate you taking the time to do it and if you’re interested, I’ll be sure to clue you in when the project is completed!

Welcome to the forum, @nofaithmed11.

I’m going through your long list, noting some interesting absences, and wondering if you’ll be sharing your project here so it makes sense to those who choose to take part?

It’ll take me a day or three to decide on my favourite 25 from that long list, but I will get there somehow…

Thanks so much, Mr. Nasty! Yes, I promise that as soon as it’s done, I’ll be sharing it. It might take a year or so to complete, but I’m hoping that everyone will be interested in it.

It’s tough to narrow down, isn’t it? So many amazing, forgotten gems.

Going thru the music on my ipod and these are the 25 that first stand-out (in no order); I was doing the on-line list but the absence of ‘On The Way’ stopped that immediately. There will be idiotic oversights that will come to mind at some point but I could live with these.

  1. The Lovers That Never Were
  2. On The Way
  3. With A Little Luck
  4. Little Lamb Butterfly
  5. My Love
  6. No Words
  7. Beware My Love
  8. San Ferry Anne
  9. Here Today
  10. No More Lonely Nights
  11. Maybe I’m Amazed (‘One Hand Clapping’ specifically)
  12. We All Stand Together
  13. Country Dreamer
  14. Call Me Back Again
  15. Waterfalls
  16. Footprints (the rough mix, the released version sucks due to being over-produced)
  17. No Other Baby
  18. I Love This House
  19. Oh Woman , Oh Why
  20. Another Day
  21. I Am Your Singer
  22. Band On The Run (‘One Hand Clapping’ specifically)
  23. Goodnight Tonight
  24. Winedark Open Sea
  25. Live And Let Die

And then I read it all properly and most of these are absent. a-hard-days-night-paul-7

This is why I don’t have nice things.
