As we all know, our very own Paul McCharmly has been touring ever since 1972 and has played about a trillion songs ever since. Even so, there are some great gems he has never played live. What would you want him to premiere on a future tour? Personally, I’d love to hear:
– Cafe on the Left Bank (from London Town )
– Anything off of RAM
What about you people?

Paul never played or did anything post 67 while alive.
I want to hear Anyway off of Chaos and Creation. The instrumental section at the end would be cool to see live, and I also love the main song.
Long Haired Lady is one of my top 5 Paul songs and it never gets any love.

what he might have meant to say was
Paul never played any Beatles songs post 1967 while John was still alive.
even being a narrator can get confusing
I don’t know where you got that idea from, Paul has played many Beatles songs that were released after 1967 live, even while John was still alive, here’s some footage of him playing Lady Madonna with Wings.

I was making a PID joke. I’m sure @William Shears Campbell would get it. I have seen Paul live before of course I know he’s played live music after 67.

I read the joke after I read glanced at this post so, I’m not actually sure if I would have instantly got that without the context of this post.

Anybody know how often he plays Beatles songs that aren’t his own? I’ve know he’s done Something but I can’t think what else.

Just looked at the set list for his last show in Tokyo and he played A Hard Day’s Night and Being For The Benefit Of Mr Kite .
You can see the set list here: http://www.setlist.fm/setlist/…..675e7.html
I’m not sure what other songs he’s done though.
In terms of songs i’d like to see him do, I wouldn’t mind Revolution 9 …..

Speaking of covering Rev9, making experimental music is something I’d really like to try. You could literally do anything.

I was going to create a similar thread, more like “Guess the Beatle/McCartney songs which Paul has never performed live”.I would pick “Hot As Sun” (which I’d also like to see him perform nowadays).
Also, I bet Paul has never played “3 Legs ” in a concert (certainly not his current, sempiternal tour).

No doubt; on the other hand, to me “3 Legs ” is a “small” song and it seems these days big rockers like Paul have to put on a megatastic show with pyrotechnics etc. and in that context it’s hard to capture a small song. Imagine “Teddy Boy ” with laser lights…

You would be surprised by the intimacy of some songs in his tour. Four Five Seconds stands out. It is played really modestly, and sung by Paul actually sounds good.

Songs like Yesterday and Here Today aren’t big rock songs requiring pyrotechnics etc, @Pineapple Records, but remain among the most played songs by Paul since his return to touring in the late-80’s.
