Have you ever gotten too high? Like so high, you can’t function, can’t walk, can’t talk, you’re looking at the clock and going, “damn, I’m ready to come down now,” high?

Follow-up question: What did you see at the seventh level?

parlance

Beware of sadness. It can hit you. It can hurt you. Make you sore and what is more, that is not what you are here for. - George

Check out my fan video for Paul's song "Appreciate" at Vimeo or YouTube.

Dang, thats really high. I don’t want to ever be that high. lol

Paul, would fight to get back the notebook that contained the seven levels and put in a Beatles museum or keep it to yourself?

What are the names of each level?

What do they represent?

Maybe he could teach you. Hell, I don’t know if he knows how.

Paul, do you know how to make sweaters?

Do any of your kids or Nancy?

Would you still model for LHL?

I’d ask him how the hell he didn’t know he was jamming with the remains of Nirvana when they did “Cut Me Some Slack”? That’s the best song he’s done since “Junior’s Farm”.

Nice one – coincidentally I only read about the Nirvana thing last night  – very interesting.  And welcome to the boards.

Finally! A reference to Macca with the rest of Nirvana. Watch it, it is killer music. Old McFartney holding his own with rockers who came up from punk. People ripped on it, no way can that old fart rock with the younger generation, but Paul nailed it! Check it out.

Now, here is this – I dig the Beatles and always will, but why should I buy a McCartney album today? I’m not buying the Eddie Vedder ukulele CD. Does Paul still have it? Even Ringo is making records, and I’d rather listen to an air raid siren than anything Starkey could put out without George co-writing it.

I think it depends on your tastes of Paul’s writing while he was with the Beatles. Yes he still has it, granted he’s not sounding spry and young anymore… he sounds his age… but his songwriting and ear for melody are as sharp as ever. If you don’t own a McCartney solo album yet, I’m not sure New might be the place to start. Something like Ram  (Paul at his peak) or Run Devil Run  (Paul older but tearing through some early rock and roll with ease) might be better intro albums if you’re looking for solo Paul stuff.

Paul, would you help me make one sweet dream come true today?a-hard-days-night-paul-7
@sky999 I was going to check the best looking thread yesterday, but this thread kept me *busy*. I have it pulled up in another window to go through this morning.
@LHL I’ll be happy to take his measurements so you can make him some sweaters.

Add Viagra to his natural um-humness, and he will need several test subjects.
Viagra and lots of weed…I wouldn’t mind tangling with that Paul!

I was thinking while reading this extremely entertaining thread…one thing we have going for us here is that I’m fairly sure Nancy and Paul are not together 24/7. She has her own job with her family’s trucking firm and her own life. Remember how Paul said he and Linda never spent a night apart their entire marriage (except when he was in jail in Japan). We don’t have that problem this time around. So, there may be hope for a sneak attack. Which brings me to a question: He and Jane broke up cuz Jane wanted her acting career (and there was that unfortunate Francie Schwartz thing, too). Linda’s career revolved around Paul…until her later years where she did the photography and cookbooks. But, Paul was always with her with those. How is it that Paul is content to have a wife now who works at her own business and has her own fully formed career? When did he wake up and smell the coffee? Lastly, has he ever had an erection lasting more than four hours, requiring him to have to call a physician?

Those are very good questions that I would like to know the answers too.

As for the last one, Paul what is the answer to that? hmmm? a-hard-days-night-john-2

If Paul were as evolved back then as he is now about having a wife work outside the home, I think Jane would have spared us from ever seeing Paul with a mullet.

A non-funny one
What is your favorite artist(s) from today (modern music)?
I know he always gets asked about his favorite music from when he was younger, but doesn’t get asked too often about today’s music. I know recently has he has seen Jay-Z and Kanye West in concert.

He liked the Grey Album bootleg that Danger Mouse did (White Album mixed with Jay-Z’s Black Album), so he’s a little familiar with Jay-Z’s work. I’d actually like to hear the answer to that question, because what does a man who’s inspired just about everything going on in popular music listen to today? I can imagine him liking Mumford and Sons and the Civil Wars and groups like that, but who’s to say?

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/…..43019.html

From the Twitter Q & A

Cheers @JacksonBeatles The last albums I bought were by @kanyewest@The_National@thecivilwars and @s_c_ (Jay Z)

After listening to his interviews lately, I don’t think he bought these albums for his listening pleasure. Re: that line in Alligator “everyone’s busy doing better than me.” He listens to them so he can do them one better. Competitive as ever. I don’t think I want to counsel him out of it, but I should keep tabs on this little streak of his to make sure he doesn’t harm his health over it. Don’t worry, I will stroke his ego every session.
