Now it’s Jet and Let Me Roll It . And Sing the Changes is back. It just doesn’t go away.

I’ve been learning Jet on bass, so I’m playing it a lot. And listening to it a lot. No complaints though, it’s fantastic.

Um, yeah. Again, sorry about that, dude.

Not on kick but i cannot get part of Power Cut out of my head (from the Red Rose Speedway medley), the “may never tell you section”.

No worries, it would’ve showed up again any way. It’s great though, so it’s fine.

Although it’s always bugged me that after the “FEEL THE THUNDERR” Increase in pitch, he goes back to monotone. He should stay there, then go down again. It’s better in the Good Evening New York City  version (which is just a fantastic live album, for every song, LOVE the Jet from that)

If you’re referring to “Good Evening New York City ,” I think Ivejustseenafaceo was referring to the DVD – or perhaps there’s a CD attached to it. In any case, YES, it’s a great DVD/CD. I happened to be at that concert and it was totally phenomenal. McCartney always plays a couple of songs from his latest album, in this case “Sing the Changes” and “Highway.”

“Sing the Changes” played throughout a stadium is a great experience.

Good Evening New York City  was a 2CD/DVD release, also available as a 2CD/2DVD deluxe edition.

It is now in my Amazon cart. Guess I need to get a few more Amazon gift cards with mom’s rewards points. :-)

Goodnight Tonight epic bass line. Also Monkberry Moon Delight , prolly one of his weirdest post beatles songs. John was also a fan of Monkberry.

Does the movie that comes with the DVD/CD set have the whole concert? The version of it that aired on Axs TV recently was only and hour long, so it cut a lot of the songs, I was wondering if that was the full version. I got the album from iTunes, so I only have audio, plus the five videos of performances that come with the iTunes LP (Jet , Band On The Run , Sing the Changes, My Love, and Dance Tonight).

Back on topic. I’ve recently found Jenny Wren, and I now consider it to be one of the most beautiful songs he ever wrote, up there with Let It Be and Blackbird . My Love has been there, and wouldn’t you know it? Sing the Changes is back. Pesky, pesky little Sing The Changes.

If memory serves, it’s the whole concert. I can double check if you’re thinking of getting it.

Yeah, I was thinking of getting it, but if the axs version was the whole thing, I didn’t think it was worth it. Only problem is that I already have the music, so the CDs are pointless. Is there any way to get just the movie?

I got Good Evening New York City for christmas and I think its a fine live collection, but I prefere Back In The World simply because Pauls vocie was in better shape.

On Topic again: The whole Red Rose Speedway medley is stuck in my head, but especially Lazy Dynamite and Power Cut. I’ve only recently started listening to this album and I must say, i never realised it was this good.

I’ve played along to that medley with my acoustic guitar probably a thousand times over the years.  More often than not, when I play my acoustic guitar, I just noodle around with bass lines on the deeper three strings (E, A, D strings).  The chord changes for “Hold Me Tight ” are especially fun to do.  “Hands of Love” is my favorite for playing along, very cool chord changes, and the way Paul transitions into it from “Lazy Dynamite” is neat.

Been listening to “Wanderlust” off of Tug Of War a lot lately.

Pauls voice in the early 80’s was just……  a-hard-days-night-paul-7

"Please don't bring your banjo back, I know where it's been..  I wasn't hardly gone a day, when it became the scene..  Banjos!  Banjos!  All the time, I can't forget that tune..  and if I ever see another banjo, I'm going out and buy a big balloon!"

I just did that with Chaos and Creation which is why Jenny Wren got in there.
