Hey read the Rolling Stone issue with Paul on the cover. In the interview he says he still writes with John, kinda eary. Also read an article with the guy who helped Linda on her Vegetarian cookbook in the early 90’s. He said he talked with Paul frequently and would say that Paul would refer to John in present tense. Also that he like John thinks and says this. Thought it could be an interesting topic. Has Paul lost it, in denial too hurt, or is the great John really writing and communicating with him?

I read that Paul believed Carl Perkins had “received” the song My Old Friend from John’s ghost because the chorus of the song contained the last words John said to Paul.

"If you're ever in the shit, grab my tit.” —Paul McCartney

Hey Textpert, I read that also. Carl made a documentary or interview about the song and mentions that story. Think about me Now And Then my old friend are lyrics from song, supposedly last words John said to Paul in person. They talked on phone alot after that though. Linda said Paul broke down in tears from song. Also midway through documentary Carl is interrupted by is wife with a phone call from Paul. I saw it on youtube hope it is still there its great.Check it out.

I’ve seen it on Youtube.  It is worth watching.  My old friend is a really nice song.  Carl comes across as one of the genuine nice guys in the music business.  One of the few performers you never hear anyone have a bad word to say about.  Seemed like a really decent man.  Even better is the 1985 concert Carl did with George, Ringo, Eric Clapton and Dave Edmunds.  That is on youtube as well.  It’s a must see if you like 50s rock n’ roll.
