I was in the car today listening to the Christmas radio station and this song came on. I kept thinking to myself that it sounded an awful lot like Paul and was pleasantly surprised to find that it indeed was him. I can't believe I have gone all this time not realizing this is a McCartney song! It's a Christmas staple for me and was just wondering if anyone else adored this song!

I don't care, it's not officially the Christmas season until I hear this song and WHAM!'s "Last Christmas". I know there are people who hate "Wonderful Christmastime " but I will sing along every single time. Come at me, bro.

They also have a go at "Happy Xmas (War Is Over)". They can go have a seat right over there and deal with it.
Oh, and bonus McCartney Chrimble Cheer: Rudolph The Red Nosed Reggae! Go You Tube it and dig it, mon.

Some of the arguments put forward are crap.
Worst lyric in Happy Xmas (War is Over): “And so this is Xmas/And what have we done/Another year over/A new one just begun.”
What is he doing, just reciting the calendar? I can do it to. “So it is Monday/And what has gone on/Another day finished/I hate this darn song.”
It's a prompt to look back over the year and examine what you've/we've done and maybe do something else to change things.
3. ONE OF THE SONGS INVOLVES YOKO ONO
Enough said.
What a pathetic reason.
Lennon opens his song saying “Happy Christmas, Julian,” which a lovely tribute to his son and a nod to how most Brits wish people a nice holiday. Oddly though, he used the Americanized “Merry Christmas” throughout the rest of the song, maybe because he didn’t want to mix Happy Christmas with Happy New Year.
Or because 'A Happy Happy Christmas' or 'A very happy Christmas' would have been shit.
Lennon’s song, while impassioned, did not succeed in ending war.
Yeah, a song not solving an issue that has plagued mankind for thousands of years is a massive failure.
6. THE MOST AWFUL INTANGIBLE IMAGINABLE
The B-side to McCartney’s Christmas was called Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reggae. And it’s far, far worse than you think. Remember John Candy’s polka band in Home Alone? This is a song they’d have performed. It makes Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer sound like a lost track from The White Album .
'Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reggae' is a cracking tune, well worth playing at Christmas.

Wow, they even bagged on Wings's cute little Roudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer Reggae. They need to chill.

I'll gladly join the 'Wonderful Christmastime ' fan-club. It won't feel properly Christmas till I hear it on the radio somewhere. It's a dreadfully earwormsome little tune, but all in good fun.

Nice song, I wouldn't be able to listen to it multiple times though because it gets a bit annoying whereas I can (and have) listened to 'War Is Over' like that.
Although I do agree with the whole Christmassy feelings you get when you hear it for the first time.

Wonderful Christmastime definitely isn't a bad song, but it gets very annoying very quickly for me. I'd probably love it if I didn't hear it on the radio over and over in every single store I go into during the Christmas season.

Well, one definitely couldn't listen to it on repeat, but it's got a wonderful Christmas-time vibe (pun intended).

Did you note Faul's appearance at 1:53? (Or Paul's appearance, if you hold that that was actually Faul the whole time.)
