I think that’s meant to be part of the effects on the track, so I don’t see why he would, unless as an alternate take kind of thing. It’d be like releasing Tomorrow Never Knows without the Leslie’d vocal.

I think if you can actually carry a tune on your own, you should be able to use autotune for effect.
