Three days to go till the Cardiff show. Apparently my tickets were sent out yesterday, so hopefully they'll be waiting for me when I get home. I'm getting quite excited!
The national newspaper for Wales, the Western Mail, has had a couple of McCartney-related articles in the run-up.

I stayed home from school to try and get tickets, and nearly didn't succeed, but yes, I'll be going! It's in Toronto, and the seats are absolutely astronomical so it'll be best if I bring some binoculars, but, I'll be in dear Paulie's presence none the less!

Well, it's not quite like that. Snappers are normally allowed in the front for the first two or three songs, sometimes just one, so I'd only be away from her for the first bit. Besides, I don't know if I'll have any luck with the pass.
We're going with a couple of friends anyway so she wouldn't be on her own. But an army wife… she sometimes refers to herself as a Beatles widow, and has spoken about making a badge saying “Olivia, Yoko and me” (I'm not really that neglectful, honest).

Bummer about the press pass. But .. I have a question.. are cameras allowed in concerts in there? I mean it because in Mexico they're not. (Everybody sneaks their camphones anyway. First time I regretted not having a camera in my cell phone

Offline I don't know. I've been meaning to phone the stadium but haven't yet. It's unlikely big SLRs are allowed, but small digital cameras should be OK. I'd imagine they tolerate without explicitly encouraging it.

Offline I really wish I could go see him live, but he hasn't performed in Australia since 1993! I wasn't even born back then… There are rumours that he's coming back next year, so I can always hope!

I got the setlist at the end from the sound desk. I got two songs – I'm Looking Through You and Here Today – on video (the camera was a bit shaky in the second so I didn't upload). I've also got loads of photos I haven't gone through yet, but I might make a little gallery out of them.
Wow, the songs, though. What a showman – Macca and his band played for just about three hours, with energy to spare at the end. The highlight for me was probably Live And Let Die , but Hey Jude and Helter Skelter were wonderful. I've had Got To Get You Into My Life in my head all day too. So many memories.
