Think he’ll visit the Philippines??! lol

Ho Ho – good one. I wonder if he’s ever been back privately?

I’ve always thought that maybe he did. Paul’s such an optimist!

I’ve just heard about this! I’m so excited as he’s coming to Cardiff, my home town. It’ll be my first Macca concert.

Tickets are onsale already to fan club members, apparently. Anyone have a link for this? Neither Google nor paulmccartney.com is giving me the info I need… Failing that I’ll wait until they go on general release, though I’d like to get the best seats possible.

Can I just add: http://www.paulmccartney.com/tickets/ , use the code PMFAN. Don’t wait for the general on-sale date. I’ve just bought my central stalls block tix for the Cardiff date – I can’t wait!

The best tickets seem to be disappearing very quickly already. Mine are quite a few rows back, though I suspect some of the front ones are reserved for VIPs and guests.

This is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO unfair. I’m working that weekend of the Cardiff & London gigs and can’t take leave as someone else is already off and only one can be off at any time. I’d like to swear now…………………….. F***

The Ringo paradox strikes again! I bought two tickets with the thought that my sister and I would go. She decided that she doesn’t really want to go and that I should take my mom. She’s not all that excited either. But both agreed that if it was Ringo instead of Paul, they’d jump on it in a heart beat. a-hard-days-night-paul-3

So does anyone fancy a trip to the Grand Canyon state?

That is odd. I don’t think I know anyone who would rather see Ringo than Paul.

a-hard-days-night-ringo-6 Paul McCartney To Quit Touring At 70 Maybe it’s a Rolling Stones type of retirement? I guess it can’t go on forever.

Have a great time, skye, and give us a report.

I’m actually very upset… I’m seeing Paulie on Wednesday and it’s actually forecasted to rain quite heavily! Unbelievable! I’m sitting here today in 85º weather, gorgeous blue skies… and it’s going to rain the one night I have tickets for this outdoor show. It rarely rains in So Cal, why now? Grrrrrrrrr…

Do you think Paulie will be kind to us fans and reschedule for the weekend?? a-hard-days-night-paul-10

Surprises? Well, I wasn’t expecting Helter Skelter . And he played 1985 which he said he’s never played in the US before and Ob La Di Ob La Da he plays rarely here. (Or so he says.) I was surprised that they used clips from the game but why not? The intro and the outro are beautiful. It was mostly Beatles songs with a good mix of Wings and later thrown in. There were two, two and a half encores, which I don’t know if it’s standard but it sure got the crowd worked up.

It was awesome. a-hard-days-night-paul-5

I’ll post any pictures I got if they’re worth posting – I haven’t had a chance to look at them yet and won’t until after work.

He did Ob-La-Di in all his concerts in December last year. He started performing it in Hamburg, and it’s been in the set since then:

Edit: here’s an article with last night’s concert setlist, with a video of 1985: beatlesbible.com/2010/03/28/paul-mccartney-live-at-jobing-com-arena-glendale-arizona/
