There are rumors about the new Macca album.
It has leaked out from a news McCartney's camp that there will be a McCartney III album from Paul in the fall, around the time when his new ballet “Ocean's Kingdom ” premieres in New York City 22 September. The album will be recorded in both London and New York and Paul himself on all instruments, and will not contain strings or horns.
So what do you guys think???

So, rumors abound on 3 separate new McCartney albums. If he pulls a Memory Almost Full and still makes great songs as if there was a band, fine. If he goes McCartney – do it yourself style, then it will flop.

I think he might not care too much if it’s a flop or not. Both the McCartney albums were to break away from his bands, with no real commercial expectations – much like the Fireman project, Twin Freaks etc. Of course it’ll get plenty of hype, but I don’t think another experimental piece would harm him in the long run.

I’ve added a page on McCartney III, because there are strong rumours that it’s coming on 11 December 2020.
Apparently an announcement will be made after the release of the Lennon compilation Gimme Some Truth on 9 October, so the two releases don’t clash.
Disclaimer: I’ve no idea if this is true or not, but I’ve read the Steve Hoffman thread and the various sources seem consistent (that forum is full of industry insiders, and often has the scoop on new Beatles releases).
Please post anything new that you hear about McCartney III . I’d love to hear a lockdown McCartney album.

That was the name I guessed for his last album. Guess I was an album ahead. I go so far back I’m in front of me…so the saying goes.

Paul has been suspiciously absent during this quarantine, you wouldve expected him to come out with something pretty consistently, but this is the greatest gift of all, McCartney 3. I knew this silence wouldn’t last.

While it may not be connected as the previous “McCartney” albums have been self-produced, but there’s a photo said to be taken at a studio in Sag Harbor on Long Island in August…
I say it may not be connected because it’s rumoured to be to do with a collaboration with Rick Rubin. It does add to the rumours that Paul has kept himself occupied with recording during lockdown though.

It’s more complex for the website: http://paulmccartney.com & http://flaming-pie.com were registered at the same web hosting than http://mccartneyiii.com, could be a clue but no THE proof it was registered by MPL.
At Maccaclub, an important fan club I co-run, we are investigating about the new album !
