Curious as to why you made that into question?

In your opinion, what song(s) from this album should have been on Pure McCartney?

I really loved Flowers In The Dirt . I felt it was a solidly nice album. My favorite songs were My Brave Face, Put It There,  Figure of Eight, This One, and You Want Her Too (with Elvis Costello). There was nothing from this album that I could see on Pure McCartney which is a shame. At least My Brave Face? Come on.

That Day Is Done and My Brave Face should have been on Pure McCartney.

Ha ha that was a typo. I think my brave face, distractions, we got married. Figure of eight, this one, and motor of love, should have all been on Pure McCartney

This makes me sad. I really wanted Red Rose Speedway . ):

Plus I can’t even ask for this for my birthday because it comes out like a week after my birthday. ):

Yeah I’m kinda hoping for Back To The Egg and Red Rose Speedway in the near future, and I’m sure mmm is really looking forward to Wild Life .  However who doesn’t love this album?  Also it means that the archive project is not coming to an end.

I don’t love this album. I could never listen to it straight through because I find it pretty draggy.

I love it. At first listen it sounded very 80s but my ears soon adjusted. I love the song Motor of Love.

The archive release will be the most disgraceful so far, so far beneath worst expectations to be unbelievable.

Archive releases have, up until now, included b-sides and single versions as a part of the physical product, bar maybe some oddities.

No disc of b-sides and single versions here. Cheap to press, but you’ll have put up with download files only.

It is one thing to release two or three tracks as digital bonuses to set, but to not even include the period b-sides in the physical product…

And somebody fulfilled Paul’s ambition for this so much better recently…

Apparently you didn’t see the Deluxe Edition: psc=1&refRID=Q44NMZ44AB983PXF8CR3

Curiously missing is “I Wanna Cry,” yet “Back on My Feet” is included — presumably to capitalize on the whole ‘Paul ‘n’ Elvis’ vibe of this release.

That makes me feel better, but how do I end up obtaining the cassette demos.  Does this mean they were recorded on a cassette, or I can only get them on cassette?

It just dawned on me that the ’89 re-recording of “The Long And Winding Road ” (one of the B-sides of “Figure of Eight,” and included in the Put It There documentary) is also being omitted. So much for completism, eh?  ahdn_paul_01

Of course, most of the trove of songs he recorded during ’87-’88 are MIA as well (“Same Love,” “Love Come Tumbling Down,” “Atlantic Ocean,” “Love Mix,” “Don’t Break the Promise,” anything that might have been intended for Return to Pepperland , etc.). What, are they saving those all for inclusion on the Press To Play Deluxe Edition in 2050?  a-hard-days-night-paul-3

‘Same Love’, ‘Love Come Tumbling Down’, ‘Atlantic Ocean’, “Love Mix’ and ‘Don’t Break the Promise’ will probably be on the 2050 Archive release of ‘Flaming Pie ‘ as they were first released on singles from that. You’re being far too hopefully for the deluxe ‘Press To Play ‘ in 2050 as that was a bit of a dip for Paul sales-wise and so can’t be seen as existing until the more successful releases are out as well as the 50th, 60th, 70th and 75th anniversaries of ‘Band On The Run ‘.
