Update: I LIKE IT! ahdn_john_08_gif

Lyrically it's not the strongest but the music is quite good, very diverse but still feels pretty cohesive on first listen -- it seems rather Sgt Pepper -flavoured in some ways, has a similar summery sunny carnival feel. I can't quite pick a favourite just yet, but I think 'Happy With You' was definitely a strong contender, as was 'Hunt You Down/Naked/C-Link'. I wish I could like 'Fuh You', the music's cool but I hate the chorus... a-hard-days-night-paul-10

I've heard the whole album on Spotify. It's great. The last song reminds me of Band On The Run

Same here. I'm listening to it a second time now, playing it for the benefit of my kid sister.

Not sure if this is the appropriate thread to post this, but I didn't see it elsewhere.  Macca put out the new vid for "Fuh You" on 9/10. Link is below. Personally, I love it but bash away if you don't agree! ?

The video clearly communicates the silliness and humor of the song. In a lot of ways it parodies today’s top twenty while simultaneously using its sound to create a fantastic song.

I think it's good, not quite as good as "new" or "chaos and creation" though..... several tracks are filler for me and the production isn't great either. But the good songs are really excellent, I especially love "I don't know" and "back in brazil".

So far I do like this album more than NEW.  Though the ballad type songs sound like leftovers from Memory Almost Full and NEW, this is a good listen.

My initial impressions on first listen are: The tracks sound amazing and the chord progressions are very, very cool.  A breath of fresh air from today's 4 chord manufactured songs with the millennial whoop.

I've listened through it twice. Two early favorites are "Hunt You Down/Naked/C-Link" and "Brazil".

I tried to listen to the whole album a few times but had to stop. I can not stand his voice. It just doesn't work for me.
