Well, as I’ve tried to say before, my position on this PID thing is that it’s most likely a curious species of nonsense.  If there were a college course in conspiracy theories (and there probably are a few classes like that in some college or other), they could assign students to study the PID movement for a classic template of all the quirks & fallacies a conspiracy theory indulges in.  With the JFK assassination conspiracy theory, at least there’s some substance of plausibility to work with; but with the PID, it’s almost as if someone sat down and said, “Okay, what would be the absolutely least likely conspiracy we can possibly devise, and then believe it against all odds… yeah, let’s say that Paul McCartney died in 1966 and the Paul we’ve known after that time right up until the present, the Paul that clearly looks naturally like the original Paul is somehow a “double”… yes, that’s the ticket!  Let’s run with it and see how many people will join our crazy bandwagon…!”  It’s so outlandish, it sort of works in reverse, like the famous dictum of Tertullian:  “I believe because it is absurd!” (Credo quia absurdum est)

I confess I found the PID people fascinating — but on the other hand, I haven’t wasted too much time delving into their labrynthine speculations.  And I’ve already stated my two chief objections to PID:

1) his eyes

2) his musical genius (not only the talent itself, which would be unlikely to find in a suddenly conveniently available “double”, but also its obvious resemblance to, and recognizable organic outflow from, the music of Paul up to the supposed car crash).

In closing, as I was exploring the neighborhood of one PID web community (“The King is Naked: The True Story of the Beatles”), I was pleased to see a comment by the BB’s very own meanmistermustard — and his succinct post dispatched their nonsense quite nicely.

Where and when was that @Pineapple Records? I don’t remember ever posting anywhere outside of two Beatles forums (one long dead) about PID. And when was i succinct in anything?

meanmistermustard, damn I should have bookmarked the specific thread — that site has a gazilliion folders and subfolders and now I can’t find it, and I don’t relish combing through their labyrinthine alleyways…

Apparently, there’s some other guy out there who chose that same song title and who is also a skeptic about that PID stuff.

To answer your rhetorical question — the very same post in which you posed the question!

richardgrik,

people around here all want to show how intelligent they are by “discovering” more and more obscure clues but there is never an answer. i’d be surprised if anyone around here has actually worked with the media because then they would understand how stupid it would be to leave this covered up.

most of the people here don’t want an answer because as long as there is nothing concrete then everything is still permitted.

and in the end, who cares? the beatles were a band that released a finite number of albums and not a single note would sound different if paul is dead.

just remember it was a mentally unbalanced freak that thought he found hidden clues/meanings in catcher in the rye and had to kill lennon. so that kind of demographic doesn’t really have my respect or admiration.

Did you get this bit too, @Pineapple Records ? It was a bit buried at the bottom, so it was easy to miss.

Just had a gander at that thread and it’s laughable. So, every little (and big) scandal on the planet can be exposed, but the cover-up of Paul’s death is so much more important than say, Watergate, Wikileaks, Guantanamo Bay and Abu Graib, Osama Bin Laden, and any of the other things that have been exposed over time, but PID will always remain a secret?

And of course the elusive Illuminati are behind it, even though they don’t exist anymore… Biggest cop-out I’ve seen in a long time. “Oh, I won’t bother giving it a try because it’s no use anyway.” If TPTB were so anally retentive about PID, then why do all those PID sites and videos exist? Why can this thread exist, where PID proponents can come and express their thoughts?

If ‘the Illuminati’ are so desperately keeping a lid on this to the point of threatening hundreds – if not thousands – of people so thoroughly they’ve kept quiet for fifty years, then how can those PID tin-foil-hatters spread their nonsense? It’s either being suppressed or it isn’t. They can’t have it both ways. Or do they think an organisation as powerful as they deem the Illuminati to be would not be able to track them?

Mademoiselle Kitty wrote: “They can’t have it both ways. “

I think that’s they key to the conspiracy theory thinking — somehow some people become convinced they can have their cake and eat it too; and all their obsessive-compulsive theorizing is spent trying to weave that tortured shroud of the “alternative reality” that is the “real” story behind the facade the vast majority, the sheeple, swallow uncritically — unlike the oh so wise elect of the conspiracy theorists, who band together and bond around this identity.  If you delve further into their writings, you’ll see that they do believe they are being persecuted and stalked by the nefarious forces (“Illuminati” etc) that control everything.  I’d like to confront them with MK’s apposite question: if the Illuminati are so powerful, why haven’t you all been eliminated?

Actually, I have asked them that. The closest thing to a response I’ve gotten was along the lines of:

“Go away, shill!”

Because , obviously, anyone who doesn’t believe in PID and actively tries to expose it for the tosh it is, is a paid disinfo agent. They must have the wrong address for me then, because I’ve yet to receive the first cheque.

Hello everyone, the last month i bought two new books about the Beatles very quoted. One is called The Beatles Anthology and the second probably sold exclusively in Italian (yes, that’s my nationality if you was wondering) named Il Libro Bianco Dei Beatles (The White book) and basically tell you about the story behind each official song they made. I also bought the biography of John Lennon by Philip Norman. While reading i felt embarrassed by the short autobiography wrote by Macca himself (Paul Mccartney) for the Beatles Anthology in contrast of Harrison, extremely detailed and not misleading (he doesn’t use John Lennon life and photos to add corpulence or dialogs none can prove their existence) and how little we know about the Beatles songs cowritten by Paul and John. I eventually ended up, completely casually in videos showing the shocking difference, between the old and new Paul.

In 1966 the Beatles stopped touring, only after a while they reappeared to the public eyes with growed moustache bur their bassist Paul was a changed man, could it be drugs? Because i never heard of a drug which makes you look like more connected with the world. His personality was changed, he looked narcissist and masculine and has lost his spastic (Jhon-like) humor, the sync with Lennon vanished and he looked physically different, he got his lobes separated, shorter but prominent nostrils, longer head shape, tighter jaw and thicker hairs. Since then the Beatles never stopped to put backward messages in their tracks and covers about the terrible death of Paul.

Alright, i introduced you with my own words to Fault Mccartney. Everything i said is simple and you can check it yourself and give your own judgement but the meaning of this thread is another, i did it because i want to hear every clues you got about it. Even though i’m firmly sure, i love how everything fit together and any fact could help me understand their music better and project myself into it.

I lend to your fine ears two songs, All My Loving sung before the crash and When I’m Sixty-Four , originally written by the real Paul but interpreted by Faul only in 1967. However it doesn’t matter how hard they tried to cover it up with post processing audio and vocal training, a Beatles fan will tell the difference between the real and fake.

youtube.com/watch?v=vAzaOZfgf0M

That’s it, let me know what you think! If you are about to criticise what i said, you can but in the most gentle manners and we will discuss it together. Have a nice day!

Hey @Glimik, I have moved your post here to be with all the other discussions on ‘PiD’ which have been brought together over the years. Hopefully you find something of interest here.

Well, @Glimik, it seems like you already made up your mind. You’ve reached the wrong conclusion of course, and you have said quite a few things that aren’t true at all. For instance: Paul’s ears were never attached. John’s were, and George Martin’s were, but Paul’s weren’t.

The video above is on a channel which was created by a friend of mine. There are several good videos on there. Maybe you should watch them and see for yourself that there is only one Paul. I enjoyed this one in particular, although I wish she hadn’t gone for the computerised voice because I think it’s a bit annoying…
