I walked barefoot in Malta as it was so damn hot. The first feeling is of heat (unsurprisingly) but within a minute or so its incredibly comfortable. Its like going into the water when its a little nippy.

And fake Pattie would be Fattie.Nancy would be Fancy!
But these PID people can’t spell so really Fattie should be Phattie which makes her a lot more hip hop.
Actually, PID needs to get into a hip hop phase generally as (un)dead Tupac has just been ripping it off over there.

My best story about walking barefoot was that I did it for a whole week while living in Clifton, Bristol in 2000. I had actually f_ed up my only pair of shoes (I was just visiting the city) and was reluctant to go shopping in them for a new pair. It was a great summer so barefoot wasn’t a problem and I was kind of rehearsing going into the city centre barefoot. I didn’t but later did this in Brixton to stares but not injuries from stones or glass as barefoot revealed the council were doing their street cleaning incredibly well!
Anyway, during the barefoot week in Bristol, I was constantly walking across a zebra crossing outside my place without thinking until somebody shouted ‘Paul is Dead!’ from a passing car window. I laughed but when I saw they were in a WHITE VW, I nearly shat myself!

Offline I searched to see if there was a thread on this topic. It’s utter bulls**t but still one of my favorite urban legends. Some of the clues are utter rubbish, but some of them can be downright eerie / creepy. I guess I’ve just always been fascinated by conspiracy theories, urban legends and the like. And I tend to lean toward the creepy and macabre.
I’ve read a couple of books on the subject: “Turn Me On, Dead Man” by Andru J. Reeve and “The Walrus Was Paul” by R. Gary Patterson. Nothing new brought to the table but entertaining. Anyone else read those?
Have any of you seen either “The Winged Beatle” or “Paul McCartney Really Is Dead: The Last Testament of George Harrison ” ? I spent a rainy afternoon on YouTube watching them both a bit back and “live blogged” them just because they were that much of a laugh. If you’re interested I can repost here with the videos. Though “Paul McCartney Really Is Dead…” is no longer on YouTube. I might be able to find it though if you want to see it.
What amazes me is that there are people who actually do believe this stuff, and take it seriously.
