A few hours before the concert, Ohhh Boy found a seat on the first row on the right side floor section. We bought it and sold one of our tickets. I sat in the front row seat (well really I stood up dancing in front of the seat) for the first part of the concert. At one point Paul looked my way, and the lady next to me said, “He just looked at you!” So I think he saw the poster then, but didn’t say anything. I changed seats with Bruce so he could have a chance to sit in the first row. As Paul was leaving the stage after the encore, he saw the Meatless Monday poster Ohhh Boy made yesterday and looked at me (I was in the 4th row) and said, “Hey, really! I like that.” Then I saw him look at the poster of Nancy that Ohhh Boy was holding in the 1st row. He pointed at the “companions” poster and said, “I love that.”
I held the Nancy poster up and did 360s several times hoping Nancy would catch a glimpse of it.
Paul acknowledging the posters as he was walking to go off stage and when everyone else around us was leaving was awesome. It was so much more intimate. He was talking to just us. No mics, no one really paying attention. Just us.
After the concert, Ohhh Boy and I walked around outside of the arena for a little while. I commented that it was convenient for Paul to have a wife in the trucking business since he needs trucks to haul all of his stage equipment around.
