I understand what you’re saying, Ronny. If the surviving McCartney family does not consider them family then they are not family. Being related and being family are different things.

Probably not. His birth certificate is still in the hands of the ‘fan’ who bought it after Angie put it up for auction. They say Paul can have it back, if he pulls out his pocket book. So, my guess would be he never got back the other stuff she sold, either.
Re: Ruth and Angie: I am sickened by the way they’re not just exploiting the McCartney name, but how they’re blatantly using Paul’s body of work for their own profit. I’ve visited that site a while ago and literally EVERYTHING has a Beatles reference. All those teas are named after Beatles songs, you literarily can’t spend a minute on that site without being reminded again that they’re connected to Paul. Of course, there’s no mention of how they screwed him over, or how they’ll just as easily drag his name through the mud to gain sympathy. And that, to me, is why Ruth isn’t a Macca. You’ll only ever hear from her when she plays the victim and wants to tell just how horribly she’s being treated. If I were Paul, I wouldn’t want anything to do with her, either. And Angie… Well, Jim may have loved her but I can’t be the only one who thinks she married him because his son was a Beatle rather than out of love. If anything, her behaviour ever since Jim died proves as much… I may be wrong, of course. It was 1964, and times were different. But she definitely doesn’t strike me as a good egg.

Is Paul coming out with a new album next year? I was on Wikipedia looking at a Paul album curious of it’s release date. Then I got distracted and started going through Paul’s discography all the way to Pure McCartney. I noticed that there was another album titled TBA(Which I assume stands for “to be announced”), which had the year 2017 under it. I was curious if any of you know if this is a forthcoming Mecca album or not.

Yes, there is a new Paul album on the way. Rumours of sessions at the studio on the Rye farm being held emerged early this year, and rumours of other sessions since can be found. However, while Paul is working on new music by all accounts, grabbing sessions here and there to record it, some, none, or all, may make the album that comes next. While recording things heading towards an album, it’s not known how close the arrival of that album is.
The suggested date of 2017 hasn’t been confirmed.
However, Paul re-signed with Capitol this year, and that new Capitol contract comes into full-effect in July 2017.
I would suggest it would make sense that Paul is preparing a new album to closely coincide with his return to Capitol: which would mean we should expect a new Paul album in either July or August 2017.

Also ‘Flowers In The Dirt ‘ is out in March and Paul won’t compete with himself in reissue form and his own new music.

I think ‘New’ sucks and Paul’s voice is needing assistance so a new album doesn’t fill me with woo-hoos. And if anyone suggests ‘Newer’ or any plays on the ‘New’ title i’m emailing Joe to ask he uses his BB influence to have them exported to stay with Hades.

Logicly, wouldn’t make more sence for the owner of the Beatles bible to send people to hell?
I propose it be named New. If Lucas Graham can have two albums with the same name, then Paul can as well.

Why is does Paul go by Paul and no James ?
I don’t know for sure, but I always assumed that it was because his dad was also named James. Such is common when a father and son have the same first name.

Yes and no, @sir walter raleigh. US song publishing rights can be claimed back by the author from the publisher after 56 years. To do so you need to register a claim for your author’s rights to be reinstated. This is a legal process. Paul’s share of the Lennon/McCartney publishing in the US starts becoming available for him to reassert his rights over it in 2018.
It will not be a court case, as such though. Just judge witnessed paperwork that recognises Paul’s claim.
I believe John’s share of US publishing has already reverted to his Estate.

Hold your horses Ron Nasty, as you’re not quite there yet. You see, although The Beatles did release Love Me Do and P.S. I Love You in 1962, Paul McCartney owns both songs, which were not part of Northern Songs, which wasn’t created until 1963. Therefore Paul McCartney won’t begin to gain ownership to more of his catalogue until 2019 and will finish in 2026.
Maybe you should try posting more.

No, @HMBeatlesfan, the claim is put in in advance, therefore Paul will put in his claim for publishing rights which expire in 2019 in the second half of 2018.
