Yeah, but I don't like it when *I'm* responsible for it. 🙂

*sighs relieved* thank you Star Wisher. Damn American System and their inches and feets. I just don't get it.
You just made me laugh out loud. Thanks!

I met McCartney in June of 1976. It was during the Wings Over America tour. My friend had a Beatles Newletter and we had to sneak on his plane at SFO to meet him. This was of course before all the security measures.
What a cool story. Thanks for sharing!

That is a very cool story. Did you get an autograph?

Just messin' with ya StarWisher. Usually it's me being the King Derailer, so it's nice to see someone else do it for a change.
Back on topic: Shannon-MissBeatles, you will have to keep us updated if/when you write to Macca. I'd be curious to see what the response is.

King Derailer or King Mixer?
OH MY GOSH IS A SMILEY
I am going to use it VERY frequently now.

I was in shock the whole time and didn't even think about asking for an autograph. I remember my friend wacking Paul on the back and saying: 'Paul, you don't know how much I like you'
That stands in my mind the most. I can't believe he patted Paul on the back so hard. I asked him about it later and he said he wanted to make sure Paul would remember him. His goal in life back then was to make sure he was a part of each Beatles life if only for a moment.
I was always more reserved and calm.

I love it! So even if Paul had a *bad* memory of him, at least he made an impression? That's really funny. I know I'd be more like how Chris Farley was. 🙂

That interview was hilarious. However, Paul seems like a easy celebrity to meet, comparatively.

I know that Zig wrote a post before the server went awry about posting small news pieces in this thread. The post was lost in the shuffle. However, I will post another little Paul-related piece here. Take a look.
Piers Morgan has already banned Madonna from appearing on his new CNN show, and now he's added a few more famous names to his blacklist. Heather Mills, ex-wife of Paul McCartney has a “lifetime ban,” from appearing on Morgan's show, which debuts Monday. The CNN host said he introduced the couple in 1999; they divorced acrimoniously about three years ago.
“I realized I'd pushed one of the world's great gold diggers in the direction of one of my heroes,” Morgan said. “And as Paul puts it to his close friends, 'Thanks, Piers, you cost me 50 million dollars.' “
