I met Paul McCartney once, and I've been in the same room as him on another occasion. I think your best chance is to become a musician, journalist, filmmaker, studio staffer, MPL employee or lucky.

I guess I'm going to have to go for lucky as well.. however my Dad met him a few years back when he was married to Heather Mills. He came to a bar in Washington, England with her and he let my Dad sit with him 😮 I was well jealous because I had left about half an hour before he went in!

Usually that's how we regular folks get to meet celebrities – pure chance.
I once met Steven Tyler in an airport bar while I was seeing a friend off to the Navy. Many years later, I met Rob Halford when I was a car salesman in Phoenix and his body guard was car shopping.

Offline I met McCartney in June of 1976. It was during the Wings Over America tour. My friend had a Beatles Newletter and we had to sneak on his plane at SFO to meet him. This was of course before all the security measures.
I would say you should contact MPL's main office via email and see if there is a way to get a message to him but good luck. It won't be easy. Maybe try and get BackStage passes the next time he is in your town.
