The McCartney/Costello collaboration was terrific.
Putting all the songs together would make a terrific CD (a bootleg exists out there).
Any thoughts on this?

I've been a long time fan of Declan Patrick MacManus.
For those who haven't seen it, I'll post again the vid of him performing “Penny Lane ” in front of Paul and “some other people” at the White House. I'm still blown away by the Marine playing the piccolo trumpet.
To the fountain of perpetual mirth, let it roll for all its worth. And all the children boogie.

I didn't know Elvis had played at the White House!
Super.

The vigotone bootleg was quite good (ive not heard it for years) and Elvis certainly inspired Paul to write and record better material as evident on Flowers In The Dirt , Pauls first really good album since Tug Of War .
Don't Be Careless Love is one of Pauls best songs with darker lyrics than normal and the demo is really good too.

Hey, haven't seen that one in a while. Thanks Zig!

Loved the “Penny Lane ” one. I also love the title of this thread. 😀
If I seem to act unkind, it's only me, it's not my mind that is confusing things.

Thanks – although looking at Mr Sun King Coming Together's post, it should be Macca/MacMa. (A number of sites spell it McManus, but on Elvis's site it says MacManus; I guess he would know.)
