Offline I admit to not knowing a lot about the technical aspects of music. I can't really tell who's the “best.” I know I like listening to McCartney more than I like listening to the other people on that list…but whether that is to do with bass playing or overall musicianship, I don't know. I'm gonna go with overall musicianship. He may not be the BEST bass player, but he's still darn good. It's the songwriting and singing ability that do it for me more than anything else where Paul is concerned!

Offline I think that Paul is, was, and will be the bestest bassist ever. He surely influenced many of our great bass players today, but overall Paul is the bestest. 
Just my point of veiw.
