I heard that he won’t be touring in the UK anymore… someone please tell me I’m wrong… why would he, right?
My life goal/dream is to meet Paul and get him to play Yesterday on my guitar or sign it, so if this is true I will have to save up extra to go abroad
If it isn’t true, however, does anyone know when his next tour date will be for the UK? Thanks!

There’s no way he won’t be touring the UK ever again. There are strong rumors he’s going to do some UK dates around Christmas this year (though nothing confirmed yet). That being said, he gets unfairly slagged in the UK press, whereas he’s nothing but adored over here and elsewhere, so that may very well play into it.

Really? There have been rumours?? Awesome, thanks! That’s good enough for me!
And I know right :O I feel ashamed to be a part of a nation that would mock someone who has more talent in one finger than most people in the UK

Where did you hear that? I’ve heard nothing. In fact, as DrBeatle said, I’ve heard rumours he may be doing some Christmas shows. I can’t see him stopping touring the UK, it’s his home country and he has a lot of fans here. It’s a shame that the press slag him off as much as they do, but I wouldn’t have thought that would put him off completely though. I hope not

There is NO WAY he will never play the UK again…no way. Maybe it won’t be in 2013, but there’s no way, especially if he tours the new album in 2014, which is what I’ve been reading more rumors about on his forums and elsewhere. Nothing confirmed yet, but it makes all the sense in the world.

Please let it be after January in 2014!!! Then I’ll be 16 and able to go to go by myself without bringing my mam or begging a stranger to pretend to be a friend or something… My brother wants to come as well and I’m not going to let him, he always copies what I want to do! He’s not even a Paul fan for God sake Plus I want to get ATMP and a couple of other DVDs and CDs for Christmas and I won’t have my pay checks until after Christmas and Mam won’t pay for a concert and €60 worth of stuff and maybe Lewisohn’s book as well
Plus I really want to get a VIP ticket and get into sound check, better chance to meet Paul. I have my poster planned and all but it’s a secret

Someone, most probably parlance as she does most of these things, being the bloodhound she is for the new(s), posted a link to a published McCartney interview a few weeks back. I can’t remember which, but he was asked about playing in the UK, and he said something along the lines of nothing was confirmed yet (and I’m sure by that he meant publicly) but that he liked to end a touring year in the UK. Wish I could remember just which linked interview I read it in, but I know I read it. Might be worth looking at schedules for places like the O2 and seeing if they have a run of blank nights.
