Online YES! The forum will be represented in Hannover! Make a Meat Free Monday poster. I made one, and Macca pointed at it and looked me in the eye and commented. I was about 6 rows back. The concert was over and he was walking off stage and stopped when he saw it.

I can’t imagine being that close, I paid a hefty chunk of change but I’ll probably be within the first 20 rows.
That’s a good idea though, beats my plan of making Rusty laugh by yelling “I love you Rusty” because he’s a cool guy and I bet that’s never happened before, might make Paul jealous >.>.

Update: I found out where I’m sitting, I’m *sighs* 31 rows back. To get to within 25 rows of him- I’d want to be paying minimum €370 and I love you Paul but no. Load of €400 seats in front of me not sold so I’m just hoping I can sneak into one of the seats on the day if not sold.
Large chunks of the stadium are unsold, wouldn’t surprise me if they close off the 3rd tiered seating and bring everyone down to the second and ground tiers. Ridiculous pricing from some of the seats as well, seats that are a mile away costing €160, like eff off.

Offline Does anyone else think it is odd that Paul isn’t performing Yesterday on this tour? When you think about it, it is the only Beatle song that can be performed exactly as it was originally. Even if he didn’t want to play it as an encore anymore he could play it during the main show (perhaps after Here Today ). I would be disappointed if I went to a McCartney show and he didn’t play Yesterday . When I saw Paul (albeit in 1990), it was a highlight. The last song of the main setlist was Hey Jude , which was perfect but the main feeling was of audience bonding (singing the coda with lit bics held high- iPhones weren’t invented yet). The first encore was Yesterday with Paul and guitar in a spotlight right up at the front of the stage. The entire Cal stadium held its breath while Paul sang of loss and longing. When he was done the crowd exploded for several minutes as Paul held his guitar high above his head. It felt good to be able to focus all of my/our appreciation on Paul and acknowledge all that his music had meant to our lives. The roar went on for so long that Linda finally came running out to give Paul a hug. Unfortunately the roadie came running out at the exact same moment to snag the guitar and they nearly crashed into each other. It’s a moment I cherish and I hope Paul reconsiders the exclusion of Yesterday in future tours.
I discussed this with my brother at Christmas and he thought perhaps Paul didn’t want to been seen as advertising for the movie Yesterday .

Offline With Glastonbury cancelled, I imagine he’ll be cancelling the tour soon. Fortunately I don’t have my flights booked and my hotel I paid extra for free cancellation *phew*.

Offline Don’t know could have been a blessing in disguise. I know his Dutch Nijmegen gig was selling very poorly- would have been embarrassing for a Beatle to play to a 1/4 filled stadium. When I was in Vienna, the hall he was in was about 3/4 full- a lot of the upper seats were empty, yet on the Wiki it says it was sold out…sure.
