Offline I AM impressed – but not in a good way. Is that billboard in my back yard????
I’m with Ben Ramon on still being productive at age 76 – but as one Forumpudlian said above, it sounds desperate coming from someone that age. Does “dirty old man come to mind”? “Come On To You” was already bad enough.
I suppose it shows he’s still young and hip in his mind and body, but doesn’t every older man think that? When does “cool, hip and edgy” turn to creepy?
Maybe Macca’s a trailblazer and the “dirty old man” moniker will disappear!!!
It’s OK. Still love you Paul. But you don’t need this. You’re already the greatest of all time.

Fuh You. Certain songs you kind of written in advance of your recording sessions, and then certain other songs you make up in the studio, and you’re just thinking of ideas as you go along.
So with this one I was in the studio with Ryan, Ryan Tedder, whereas the rest of the album was made with Greg Kurstin. But for this one we were just thinking of ideas and little pieces of melody and chords, and the song just came together bit by bit.
And then I’d try and make some sort of sense of the story, so it was like, ‘Come on baby, now… come on baby now, talk about yourself, try and tell the truth, let me get to know you. And basically I wanna know how you feel. You make me wanna go out and steal – I just wanna for you.’
So that was the basic idea, and it developed from there. That’s sort of a love song, but a raunchy love song. Here you go: Fuh You.

Offline Wow, oldtimer Ben Ramon made a cameo in August and I missed it…
Like Ron Nasty, I suspected the song title was thought up with “The King of Fuh” partly in mind…but I’m a little disappointed that RN didn’t choose to refer to this new Paul single as “Feh You”. 
Anyways, I don’t think this song is remarkable in any way other than a notable title. Sorry Paul…hope the remainder of the album is more inspired (Robert Sheffield in Rolling Stone assures us it is)

Offline Didn’t like it at first but I do now. It’s too infectious for me not to. However, I don’t think I’ll be singing it around… 
For some reason, I imagine it with a music video that is a montage of shots of a ridiculously happy gay couple (not redundant I swear) frolicking about in some colourful sunny place.

Offline Great video – which brings me right to my point: When McCartney was barely 23, he imagined himself an older man and wrote “Yesterday .” He’s now just doing the reverse.

Offline Paul has always written pop songs. Do you guys feel that now that he’s old he can’t keep up with modern music and has to stay in the twentieth century for the rest of his musical career?
Didn’t like the song at first, but it’s grown on me. I dig it.

Offline So I was just listening to the “This is Paul McCartney ” playlist on Spotify and this song came on (it was my first time hearing it). Not to be rude or anything, but WHAT THE HECK MCCARTNEY?!!! 
I don’t dislike the song or anything, and I know Paul is a pop musician. I was just so surprised because this song came from a 76 year old man, one half of the greatest songwriting partnership of all time, who actually sat down and wrote this thinking it was a good idea.
But honestly, I’m glad this song exists. It’s pretty catchy after a few listens, and I think I’m going to make my friends who think the Beatles are ‘old’ listen to it.
