One issue with that is that Paul has 24 studio albums, however many a/b-sides and other oddities, tho I presume it all has to have been officially released in Paul’s name and miscellaneous collaborations with other acts wouldn’t feature (eg Smoking Mojo Filters). What about live tracks like ‘All my Trails’.

The list would be long so would take time to go thru when voting.

I’m up for it tho and it may propel others to go and listen to more Paul.

I don’t have time to run the poll, but I’d definitely vote. We would need to hash out “the canon” to include in the poll.

Heck, anything he’s ever done post-Beatles should be fair game.

Nothing obscure will make the top 67. But yes, it will spur some to check songs out.

I am listening to Pure Mccartney for the first time now. Its a fun trip through Mccartneys career, and fun to place each tune on an album with a year as you listen. Kind of a Mccartney brain teaser. Obviously all of the music is great.

Plus some songs I don’t know, and some that I haven’t heard in a while. I’m glad that I put this on.

I thought this Top 40 Paulie solo song ranking from RS was a lot of fun a-hard-days-night-paul-5to read, listen and view.

I picked up the four-disc version of this recently. It’s a really nice package. Great photographs, I presume mostly by Linda. I listened to it all the way through, and while it’s easy to focus on what it gets wrong (reminding us of the existence of “Big Bop”; including nothing from Flowers In The Dirt and arguably too much of Flaming Pie ), it does a good job of summing up the strengths and weaknesses of the post-Beatles Paul, 45 years along. This is to say that I enjoyed a lot of it, but by around the middle of disc three, I started to need some air. A narrative emerged a long time ago and he has stuck to it: his charm, geniality, facility, and melodic gift fight it out with his susceptibility to the hasty, vague, and offhand (his worst albums are full of the equivalents of “Wild Honey Pie ” and “Her Majesty ,” but without, you know, Beatles songs interrupting them), too-cute whimsy, a troubling insularity (rarely at his best when inspired by big issues such as war and race relations).

Also, including “Here Today ” and  “The Song We Were Singing” and Early Days ” — even though they are all good tracks — may have been overkill for looking back.

But all this sounds like carping. There is a lot of great music here, and I probably need to investigate some albums I have missed, such as Driving Rain and New. Age seems to have brought a sharper focus in the music of his fifties and later that I have heard.

“My Love” is a Paul hit I used not to like, but now it has won me over. The music is so suave and beautiful; I can forgive him for not working harder on the lyrics. I strongly doubt the McCartney cupboard was ever bare.
