Cant get the picture to post but the HMV store in Glasgow has a line of cd cases with

“The Beatles

BBC Sessions Volume 2

Release Date

14th October 2013

Reserve your copy now”

on the front.

On a different note, is there a way to get pics from an ipod to here without having to have some kind of photo account online. Copy and pasting from the original file location doesn’t work.

I’m just about up to the first set on my chronological rediscovery of all things Beatle, so this is exciting news for me if it is accurate – looking like it is.

Didn’t realise that Parlance and I cannot see Paul going up against a beatle release (and vice versa) so I presume the date of bbc vol 2 will be changed. It wouldn’t be the first time an album release date has changed.

I also have a feeling that Live At The BBC was a quick and unexpected release, announced October ’94, on sale November ’94. Will dig out the Beatles Monthly magazine and have a look.

Yep. The world has already lived through the “Let It Be ” and “McCartney” saga. We don’t need the second verse.

You really think Paul will try to get one of the dates changed, then? I wonder myself if it’d really be worth the bother…it’s not like these releases are going to be racing each other to toppermost of the poppermost charts, as was the case in 1970.

GEORGE: In fact, The Detroit Sound. JOHN: In fact, yes. GEORGE: In fact, yeah. Tamla-Motown artists are our favorites. The Miracles. JOHN: We like Marvin Gaye. GEORGE: The Impressions PAUL & GEORGE: Mary Wells. GEORGE: The Exciters. RINGO: Chuck Jackson. JOHN: To name but eighty.

^ I’m thinking the same thing. It’s not like it was back then anymore.

Initial sales very well could be affected tho and why fight with another release you’re involved in.

They might well generate enough buzz that sales of both would be better?

The Examiner reports a rumor regarding a delay in the album’s release:

BBC HOLDUP?: As of this writing, all has been quiet about the still-unconfirmed Beatles “Live At The BBC , Volume 2.” One interesting and completely unconfirmed (and possibly make believe) tale making the rounds is that a reason for the delay is that changes had to be made because of the recent sex charges involving Rolf Harris, the singer of “Tie Me Kangaroo Down, Sport,” who once sang the song with the Beatles. Their version, according to the rumor, was originally planned for the CD but now won’t be included.

Thanks for the update. You just have to wonder why the date changed.

Just saw that myself earlier this morning! I’m so conflicted whether I should bother with it. I have all of the sessions, but I’m such a completist when it comes to the Beatles…decisions, decisions… :-?

That it is! For me, it’s the BBC book, Tune In deluxe, Man on the Run book, Paul’s New, and (aw who am I kidding) the BBC Vol. 2. Nuts but exciting at the same time.

…and I’m still reading Anthology, You Never Give Me Your Money , and Bob Gruen’s John Lennon the New York Years.  But I’m not addicted, I swear. I can stop any time.

The Examiner are now running with it as well.

http://www.examiner.com/articl…..on-finally

It’ll go on my list, but as I have the complete, it’ll be on the “to buy” and not the “buy asap”. Too many things for my meagre money not to strain under the weight.

Exactly the same situation I’m in. I’ll only get it AFTER I get the aforementioned books, Paul’s new CD, some other new CDs I want, and if I happen to have spare cash laying around by that point (unlikely)

If it contains anything new (ie unbootlegged and previously unreleased music) then I’ll spring for it otherwise it will be added to the pile marked “to be gotten”.

If they have any brains they will put together a package of the bbc book and cd and sell them for less than the two as individual buys but im not holding my breath.
