No I'm not a believer, I just enjoy reading about the conspiracy. It's sometimes quite interesting/entertaining.

The Paul is Dead conspiracy theory should win an Academy Award for Most Ludicrous Theory of All Time, battier than Flat Earth theory.  Can anyone think of a nuttier one?  Perhaps a theory that cats are really dogs, but dogs are not really cats, they are actually lingonberry pies.  Nonetheless, I too have been fascinated by the subculture that apparently believes this.

If the earth is flat, that must mean that those flights across the world were staged.

Good to see. I too find the theory very interesting and quite scary at times.

The first time I heard about it I watched the film on YouTube 'The Last Testament of George Harrison ' but quickly realized how stupid it was since

a) The voice on the recording had a Birmingham accent and didn't at all sound like George.

b) The story had huge holes such as saying that Paul died in late 1966 but that they somehow included clues to his death on albums Rubber Soul and Revolver which were released months before it even happened.

The second point pretty much proves all the clues false. The clues on Rubber Soul and Revolver were just as convincing as those on Pepper forwards, and according to the theory Paul wasn't even dead at that point.

I thought that I'd revise my earlier tracklist so it more fits the whole no overdubs tone as well as removing I Want You (She's So Heavy) because it isn't in the film and The Beatles only played a very brief snippet of it during the rooftop.

getback.pngImage Enlarger

Side A:

Two Of Us (album version with Paul's piano piece as the intro)

Maxwell's Silver Hammer (film version with Paul on piano and vocals, John on guitar, George on bass, and Ringo on drums)

Across The Universe (original version at original speed with just John on vocals and acoustic guitar)

For You Blue

Rip It Up/Shake Rattle And Roll (the Blue Suede Shoes part wasn't in the film, so it isn't here either)

Dig It (full version)

The Long And Winding Road (film version)

Let It Be (single version, as much as I like the album version better I think the single version makes more sense here)

Side B:

Get Back (album version)

Don't Let Me Down

One After 909

Dig A Pony

I've Got A Feeling

Get Back (Reprise) (outro from single version)

If you're reading this, you are looking for something to do.

For me the perfect Let It Be would be if they had actually released a full live album from a massive comeback concert. Imagine that concert, it would have been so cool.

Then again, would any of the footage be useful considering the overwhelming amount of crowd noise.

As much as I'd like to see that happen, The Beatles were in shambles and didn't want to do a live album made out of entirely original material like MC5 and also, I'd rather they just have the studio tracks on side A and the rooftop on side B, gives each side something different.

Let It Be is perfect just the way it is.  Even Let It Be Naked doesn't come close! apple01

You don't think including "Don't Let Me Down " (either live or studio) would've been a nice addition?

I remember George saying 'Blimey, he's always talking about “Yesterday”, you'd think he was Beethoven or somebody' - Paul McCartney

Sure it would have been a nice addition, but it had already come out as a Single 11 months earlier, as did The Ballad Of John And Yoko & Old Brown Shoe , 10 months earlier.

What about Maxwell's Silver Hammer , wouldn't you want it on Let It Be , it was in the movie after all.

Well yeah, but so had Get Back . And I would've liked a preservation of the live versh with John's lyrical screwup!

We could do what Queen did with Seven Seas Of Rhye, have the film version of Maxwell's Silver Hammer on Get Back and then have a more polished version on Abbey Road .

They actually have Let It Be on Blu ray, is it any better quality then the Laserdisc or VHS versions.

I believe the best complete 'LIB ' out there is from the early 90's and whilst is an upgrade it's not perfect by today's standards.

Did Ringo have any songs in consideration for Let It Be ?

I know there's a scene where Ringo and George are playing around with Octopus's Garden but it appears to still be a work in progress.

I would have to think about my perfect Let It Be tracklist but I would use the original Get Back album cover with them on the balcony though.

And in the end the lunch you take is equal to the lunch you bake.
