Offline I don’t know. I preordered from amazon.co.uk back in August but I was a cheapskate and opted for free delivery. Delivery estimate is 7-11 October.
I ordered the Signature Box and Double Fantasy Stripped Down, though I resented having to pay for the latter – it should have been in the box. Last night I was writing about the Gimme Some Truth compilation and ended up having a mini rant about Yoko Ono grabbing more money from the fans.

Offline The previous editions were remixes. These are remasters of the mixes issued in Lennon's lifetime (as well as Milk And Honey ), done by the same team that did The Beatles' remasters.
Apparently EMI came to Ono with the idea, and if you look at the packaging of The Beatles' remasters, the Lennon reissues, Apple and McCartney (Band On The Run ) it's obvious that they're trying to get them all looking similar, with the white/black strip down the left-hand sides of the covers. It makes sense to have a set of definitive editions for all these albums – they're important. What I don't care for are the random compilations that seem to have been done just to make more money.
