Paul's getting married tomorrow to Nancy, while Yoko will be lighting the Imagine Peace Tower in Iceland. So not as low-key as normal.

Paul's getting married tomorrow? awww....
On the subject of the anniversary, I'm making a YouTube playlist with my favorites of his songs/ my opinions on his best or most meaningful songs, plus some tributes (All Those Years Ago, Here Today , Empty Garden by Elton John)
Just my little birthday contribution.

"What happens to them?" insisted Milo.
"Oddly enough, they often grow ten times the size of everyone else," said Alec thoughtfully, "and I’ve heard that they walk among the stars."

Paul is getting Married today! And that makes him the only beatle to have gotten married more than twice.
Happy Birthday to John.
Yes it does seem quite low key this year, well amongst non-Beatle maniacs. Last year was huge because it was 70 YEARS!!! And this year the only ones who are going crazy about it are us beatle maniacs.

Next year is going to be massive with it being the 50th anniversary of the Beatles first single. And Paul turns 70!!! After that you have the 50th anniversaries of all the albums from 2013 -> 2020, plus the movies, the concerts, the US invasion, the split. I hope youre all very rich and have very nicely paid jobs as there will be a lot of stuff being put out.

Yesterday afternoon I grabbed my John Lennon pint glass, filled it with beer and pointed it to the northeast toward Liverpool for 49 seconds while listening to George's "It's Johnny's Birthday ".
The rest of the afternoon was spent watching baseball with the sound down and listening to the Lennon Signature Box set. I sang, I laughed, I cried. It was a glorious afternoon.
I miss you, John.

Happy Birthday to your Mom. When I get home tonight, I'll face to the southwest and say a prayer for her.

Thank you guys. It means a lot to me. I never feel sad on her birthday but today it was just too much.
But George is helping me to get through. Now I'm listening to All Things Must Pass .

Congratulations to Paul and Nancy. That also got married on John and Sean's birthday on sunday.A happy birthday to John and Sean.I am sending them positive energy, prayers and my love.I understand how you feel Zig about your Mom passing away so close to John's birthday.I am sending your Mom and you some prayers to.My own Dad who was born in the state of Montana was also born on October 9th.But he would have been 89 years old this past sunday. He passed away from cancer when I was in my mid 20's,I'm 53 years old now.So that day allways has a very personal and emotional meaning for me and my family. But I try to stay as positive and happy as possible that day.

It's cool that you choose to stay positive and happy on such a day, peregrine9. I'm sure your dad appreciates the positive vibes.
Just one point of clarification if I may. It was mith's mom who passed, not mine. Either way, your caring enough to pray for one of our departed loved ones is admirable.
On a completely unrelated note, thanks for sharing the articles you find for us from time to time. They lend a lot to our Forum.
