This year he comes in at number 7, between Marilyn Monroe (number 6) and Einstein.

A link in the above article takes you to “How The Beatles Earned $71m This Year, Sort Of“, with George and Ringo making $6m, John $12m (October 2012 – October 2013 and Paul $47m (June 2012 – June 2013).
Scarily the article mentions how John’s estate could make more from a greater amount of official merchandise.
Pleased to see Charles M Schulz, creator of the Peanuts gang, at number 3 with $37m.

Well, I’ve certainly been adding to their wealth this year. Thanks, I had a look at that article. I’m not sure what the attraction to Bon Jovi is, but he has outdone The Beatles by 8 million.
Has Bon Jovi been touring or something? I know he (or is he Jon Bon Jovi, i believe there a difference) has a massive fan-base but personally i find his music to be dreadful. Hate that 80’s rock, Living on a Prayer type, stuff.

I know..that stuff was popular when I was in high school and I hated it. I also couldn’t stand Whitesnake, does anyone remember them?
I was just playing “Still of the Night,” on YouTube, the only song I know. I like the cello-like interlude.

I remember the name Whitesnake and i can vaguely picture a bit one of their video’s where the guy was wearing a denim jacket (tho that seemed to be the generic look for all of those bands at the time) but the name of the song doesn’t come back.

It might be “Here I go Again.” It goes “Here I go again on my own, goin’ down the only road I’ve ever known.” I think it was our class song.

His theorems are copyrighted maybe? Use of images, clips, I think I remember seeing Einstein in an ad a while back.
Ringo and George earned the same amount of money this year, that’s interesting.

A totally non-Beatle related question…but have to ask…how does Einstein make money enough to make the list??? Does his estate sell I Met Einstein and All I Got Was a Stupid T-shirt merchandise???
According to here “Nearly 60 years after his death, Albert Einstein is still making money, mainly through the rights to his name and his iconic image.”. I’d be here till christmas 2034 if i had to guess who was the 5th hightest earning, never would have went with Einstein.
Who sang the song Poison or You’re Posion, i could look it up on youtube but then i’d either have to look at the band or hear the song.

With my limited knowledge of copyright law, I’m amazed he (Einstein) isn’t considered public domain by now. His equations and E=MC2 stuff are taught, so they are public domain. Anyways…makes me wonder just who is collecting the money that Einstein makes.

^^ You can’t copyright ideas. But I certainly that photo of him with his tongue sticking out all the time, so his estate’s definitely making money.

"White Album - My joint-fave Beatles album along with Revolver. They show the two sides of Beatles. Revolver's very controlled - even though it's also very innovative. The White Album's playful and almost ramshackle. It's like a scrapbook kept by a genius. Fantastic stuff."

The Poison song is Alice Cooper btw.
Thanks LikeASir. I’m pleasantly surprised i got it totally wrong.
Einstein also pops up quite often in various cartoons which would make a tidy sum for whoever gets the money.

Kind of a depressing thought but that’s what you get from reading too much Sylvia Plath,
(I know Paul and Ringo will never die) but who will be the Beatle who will be making the most money in 50 years, I predict Paul what with all his music rights and all that jazz
