One of John’s best songs. It’s lighter in tone but the psychological aspects of his life are still there, which makes it so relatable. “When I’m deep down and out” is my favourite part.

The piano part on this song is insanely trippy. I’d argue it is one of the most psychedelic songs of all time. its got a really nice groove, but it always comes out of nowhere when I’m listening to the album just how crazy this song is.

I remember seeing footage of a guy mourning John in 1980 or thereabouts in a crowd, and he specifically mentioned how good Intuition was. He’s right. Excellent song, and one of his best.
