Hi everyone! There is a question: what is still the LAST song of John? Of course I think it’s “Dear John”, but I’m not sure.

Hi @Trlj , welcome to the forum.

The final song John worked on was Walking On Thin Ice, which he spent 3 hours in the studio working on in the evening of the fateful 8 December night. You might find this article from the main site interesting: https://www.beatlesbible.com/1…..nnon-dies/

Since this thread is here I’ll comment. I’ve found comfort in Dear John during times of trouble. The simplicity of “don’t be hard on yourself, give yourself a break” does a lot.

Dear John dates from early November 1980, @Trlj; a song called You Saved My Soul, with a demo dated 14 November 1980, is believed to be the last song John wrote.

As Holey said, John was still working on studio recordings up until the day of his death, and is correct that the last thing John recorded was his guitar overdub on Yoko’s Walking on Thin Ice, but if looking for his final composition, that’s You Saved My Soul.

Thank you very much! But, where can I try to find a demo from November 14th? When I go to sites with articles that talk about her, a YouTube video is attached… but, it’s been removed.
