Not sure when voting stops or what purpose it serves, but you can vote to make John the King of music. Elvis is going to win, though.

I suggested Stevie Wonder and Prince. I mean, his name's Prince!

Much better suggestions than many of the options shown.
Anyway, most of the guys in the lead are DEAD! What good is a dead king??

Yeah - Jon Bon Jovi. Any list that features him is immediately discredited. Horrid!! Horrid!!! Horrid!!!!!
Pavarotti's cover of 'C'mon Everybody' is a classic. If you haven't heard the full album 'Pavarotti Sings Whatever's In Front Of Him' you haven't lived.

Okay, yeah, I'm with you on that one.
What I was trying to emphasize is that there's a huge rock/pop bias in the voting choices.

They are also all singers whereas some of the greats in music are players of instruments or composers.
Just saw the results so far. How on earth can Jon Bon Jovi be 2 shy of 400 votes ahead of John? Proof that humans are idiots.

Proof that humans are idiots.
So the fact that people like one artist more than another means that the whole human race are idiots?

It was an incredibly simplistic throwaway remark that was in no way to be taken in any way serious. Apologies if any offence was taken.

I can't believe Sting comes in the last place... He's got such a unique voice. But I voted for John.

As much as I was a fan of Bon Jovi this also makes no sense to me...
What makes even less sense is that he's beating John!!
Sting in last disappoints me too, @Oudis. But I also voted for John.

No, just the ones who like Jon Bongiovi more than anyone else on that list.

I've never understood the attraction of Sting. The Dream of the Blue Turtles was a good album, I guess.

Sting's impact on me is The Police, based on that I could argue Sting as a prince, but not the king compared to others on the list.
As far as his solo work, The Dream of the Blue Turtles is all I've really heard and I think it's great. I need to listen to more (and already own more records), but I need to get a good record player first.
I'm sure @Oudis could rally for King Sting!

@Mr. Kite:
Please listen to Bring on the Night, Nothing Like the Sun, and Ten Summoner’s Tales as well. Mercury Falling has only one great song –but it’s a masterpiece. You can find it on You Tube: “Valparaiso”. But yes, I believe Sting is responsible for the best popular music of the XX century –if you, for a split second, forget The Beatles. And as a lyricist, he writes not for the youth, but for adults, which makes him unique.
